Mandy Ellis said… - definitely missing out on the love of their life! why don't you contact a place called rolling dog ranch in montana as they take special needs animals as their speciality. they have a wonderful website that you can see the place and their animals are deaf, blind, infirm, amputees, terminally ill etc, they seem really lovely and think that once an animal comes to them then it's for life - if it's adopted well and good, if not, no worries.

- hi stephanie - i just got back to the discussion from december 1 regarding the deaf dog. have you found someone to take her yet - is she actually with you? if she is and you have other dogs then i think a lot of the battle is done as she can get her cues from them for general behaviour. how is she when she's walking on a lead, does she come when she's called, sit, is she house trained, or does she respond at all when someone's with her? i think deaf dogs tend to spend a lot of time watching the person they're with as well as the other dogs so they don't miss out on anything. its funny, but all my dogs can be round the other side of my house and when i go out, the deaf guy is always first to figure out i'm outside and come charging round to me.

it says right in the email who is recomended by HSUS and wild horse groups. I put that in the email to make it easier to do the form online, but there is more to read if you click on the discussion link. There is more there if you want to write much more on it. Otherwise, just cut and paste what I have in the email right into the form online, with your own introduction to what you are commenting on of course.
