About Myself

Ever since I could remember I have been a "animal-lover". When I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up I said veterinarian although I pretty sure I may have said animal doctor first. I currently transfered to my B.A in Veterinary Technology have two cats, Lucky & Robin. I also foster for several rescue shelters and ocassionally will go down and help at the shelters. Also ocassionally take pictures.

I am a laid back kind of person I like lazy summer days and cozy winter nights. When it comes to hanging out I think of visting a friend's or some social event. I dont picture a bar or a club somewhere although I do engage in those sometimes.

Soooo Welcome everyone.

Proud pet parent of:
In the order we got them:

Lucky: Boy Kitty
Robin : Girl Kitty
How we met:
One night around three in the morning I was coming downstairs from my cousin's house (which just so happens to live upstairs in the same bulding) I saw this ball of fur at the end of my hallway in front of my door. I made a little sound and up went his head and he ran over to me and started to rub all over me. I called my partner to pass me one of the carriers in order to put this adorable cat inside until the morning. We took him to the living room and closed the doors and hoped that the furniture wasn't destoryed. Next morning, I cracked the door open and to my suprise nothing was destoryed not even a scratch.

After many failed attempts to find the owners of the cat because I noticed he needed medical attention because of a lump on his neck. Luckly there was nothing to worry about and it went away with mild antibiotics. The flee collar he was wearing was causing an allergic reaction. He won over my partner's heart by being the sweetest kitty he could be. He even won over my mother who used to say she HATED cats. We named him Lucky. . ..

Recently I decided that I wanted to find Lucky someone of his own species he can "relate" to.. After thinking about it for weeks and deciding on which kitty were bring home.. Robin came up to us and allow us to pet her, and even hold her she even showed us tummy! Although my partner was sold I wanted to give everyone a chance at the shelter so we kept looking around. In the end I felt that there was no other kitty that stood out for me more than Robin even though I had two other kitties in mind Robin charmed her way in. Just in time because they're were two other adoptee that the minute we said we were taking her they showed up and also loved her. Luck was just on my side.
Pet likes:
Lucky: Petting, Playing, to be treated as if he is a human being ( wants to be included in discussions lol), sleeping next to owners and Robin ( I have the silliest videos and pics of this), Chow time

Roby : Playing with Lucky, Chow time, Brushing, nail trim
Pet dislikes:
Lucky: Nail trimming, sometimes brushing, being left alone in a room locked

Robin: Picked up too quickly, fast hand gestures
Pet’s favorite spot:
Lucky: Somewhere he can easly hide if something scares him, up high like on chairs, dressers, lounging next to owners and Robin

Robin: Just about anywhere..
Pet’s favorite toy:
Lucky: Everything is a toy to him lol! He plays with the pointer, toy mouses, balls, and feathers, Robin

Robin: Lucky, Toy mouses, Balls
Pet’s silliest habit:
Lucky: Chasing flies

Robin: Dying to chase a real live bird
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Lucky: Head but my arm laid next to me went to sleep and when he work up he licked my arm

Robin: When we firt met she was soo sweet and got on her back to show me her tummy
I crack up when my pet:
When they play fight with each other
My pet is unique because:
I don't believe my pets are unique because in reality all pets are unique in their own little way. What I do know that if they weren't with me I'd feel a little peice of me missing.

I agree Belles! I was down at our local shelter to find a companion for my dog and we found a real cutie pie. The shelter told me that there were no known issues and it came from an owner that lost their house and couldn't keep the dog. They said th…

Kittens usually get spayed or neutured at least 5 months or when they reach that 10 pound mark. I don't generally think that the people that release the animals to the shelter is the equivilant of the people that dump on the streets. Irresponsible…

Hey Bobbie, I'd have to kinda disagree on you there... I think the pet owner that turns the animal to the streets to starve, hit by a car is wayyy worse than a pet owner that released his/her pet to a shelter to where at least the animal has a chan…

I for one am one of those people or at least I was. I was one of the people that just loved everything that had fur on it with the exception of bugs. But its tough work man and at some point you have to realize that the responsibility is too great.…

I couldn't agree more, at the shelter that I volunteer at there seems to be way more cats than their are dogs. I am talking about for every one dog there are three cats I think it it's a shame that so much is done in order to make sure all the dogs…

Both, in my humble opinion are irresposible. There is Always a way to find a home for a pet you no longer can care for. Working in rescue etc we save All who cross our paths. The person is not making necessary contacts to help the pet become re-home…

I wrote this post because I noticed that the people that do go in and turn in their pets are viewed as irresponsible owners. I think to myself if these guys are irresponsible what do they call the ones that just leave the door open and think that do…

Jenny, yes he did. My husband went over and helped him. The dogs were thrilled. They had all that extra room to run and now they can potty away from where they eat and sleep. lol lol And they haven't tried to escape since then.
