Regina ~ the renters hauled those kittens & juveniles off long before I ever got involved in feeding the ones they left behind and that was over 3 weeks ago. The pound doesn't hold animals longer than 3 days...if that long; especially, if the owner…

My sweet, precious, loving babies:
CHANG~May 8, 1985-Dec 9, 1999
'LIL BOY~Oct 15, 1987-Aug 4, 2006
OREO~July 19, 1988-Nov 3, 2000.
Each lose was devestating, but I never left their side; stayed with each of my precious babies as they lay in a lovely quiet room on their fav blanket I'd wrapped them in for their last trip to the vet; spent ? hrs with them just petting, talking..yes, crying; & saying, "Mamma loves you". Each time I found the hardest thing to do was open 'THAT' one door; doing so made time stop~every eye, asst/tech/vet seemed to be looking my way; they all knew each of my babies for so long - and they knew when I opened the door ... it was 'time'. No, I wasn't ready, I could sit for hours, days--I COULD NEVER BE 'READY' for 'that next step'! Still, I never left their side; just continued to pet them, tell them how much I love them, talk, pet, etc. They left so peacefully. Again, I remained in that lovely room with my most precious baby(s) for a long, long time. I would finally bring myself to 'open that door' again. Then the sweet young lady that did the 'individual cremations' would gently take the body. They now 'HAVE THEIR WINGS'! I collect Angels and when we built our home a couple of yrs ago one room was designed especially for all the Angels collected over the years and...each of my sweet, precious babies; their ashes in beautiful marble urns and magnificant etchings on exquisite tile from which a wonderful, talented lady captured not only their beauty in life, but also their beauty within...and she did this from a picture I chose. They are with me still. I made a promise to myself that I would never, could never go through that pain again, but along came Sassie; funny/defiant/independent/you name it! SASAFRATZ (Sassie) OMGosh...she is a hoot AND a terror; she's not very big either; but mercy me, say the word 'NO'...she flips her front paw as if dismissing me and continues. I know I should keep a stern demeanor, but I simply cannot. She is nothing like my other babies and I certainly named her appropriately! Of course, anyone who loves and knows kittens/cats, understand they all have their own special, wonderful personalities. Sassie keeps me in stitches; laughing all the time.
How we met:
Sassie was maybe 7 weeks old; all alone...no Mother, no siblings when I found her. How she survived alone is beyond me. I brought her home (to my husband's objections). She was eaten up with fleas, worms, infected ears, matted eyes; in very bad condition. I immediately took her to my vet and found out she only weighed 1.3; I almost lost her but she is a real fighter and pulled through. In my small hands, she looked ittie, bittie...which she was! She's had several episodes where I have had to rush her to the vet, but again she fights and is back to her Sassie self once more! I do love her so. Since the day I brought her home, she has NEVER been outside; she's an indoor kitty and will remain so. No, I did not/would not have her declawed; I believed that it cruel, painful and unnecessary! I keep her front claws clipped and she remains calm, although, it's obvious she's a bit 'miffed' at me...
Pet likes:
TREATS! OH BOY!
Pet dislikes:
She turns into 'demon Sassie' when I have to take her to her vet. She was the perfect little angel on her first visit, but I believe it traumatized her and since then, uh, uh..no way does she cooperate in any way shape or fashion. I thank the Lord for Dr. Cindy Moore, because no other vet would ever consider treating her. Needless to say, Cindy and I have become very good friends over the past two years. Sassie has to be given a 'relaxer' just to get a routine exam; sometimes she must be completel anesthesized because she is so stressed and downright mean...even to me. We always know exactly what to expect when she goes to the vet...she's a regular Jekell & Hyde!
Pet’s favorite spot:
Many ~ Her window perch; her two-story Safari play-house which is in our living room in front of our windows...she likes to keep a lookout for lizards and goes nuts and acts so silly when one in particular daunts her; her blanket which I have placed on my husband's printer and is also in front of a window; the guest bedroom as long as I open the curtains; kitchen and breakfast windowsills and sleeping next to me.
Pet’s favorite toy:
She loves to play what I call 'ice hockey'. When I get crushed ice from the refrigerator door...even if she's sleeping she'll hear the ice and come running (as small a cat as she is she still sounds like a miniature horse running through the house). She plays the part of 'goalie' and I have to line up crushed ice on my end while she defends her end; if flip a piece of crushed ice with my finger towards her and 'she stops it' then gets back into position awaiting the next piece...she could do this FOREVER, unfortunately, I can only crouch on the kitchen floor about 15 minutes before my knees give out!!! She doesn't need toys; I've wasted a small fortune on those...just give her a box or paper bag and she's in heaven. She likes to hide and attack my feet...not hurting me, just jump out, pop me with a paw (no claws out) then runs! She is soooo silly! She'll play with a paper grocery bag for hours.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Everything she does is silly! But I call her my 'upside-down kitty' because our breakfast room chairs have rollers on them & there is a GAP between the seat & the back just big enough for her to get through. She runs from the living room through the dining room to the breakfast room leaps into the air does a half-twist through the gap landing on the seat 'upside-down', then hangs her head and front paws completely upside down through the gap and stares at me READY TO PLAY...or maybe she's thinking 'how's THAT for talent??"...she'll have my chairs scattered all over the room in no time! As she jumps from chair to chair when she pushes off for each jump the chairs go a'rolling! These chairs also 'turn' like our computer chairs and she love me to turn them while she is hanging upside down, paw out and she tries to grab my hand. It is hilarious! She also will do a 'head-plant' on either my feet or my husband's feet and do a complete tumble; then wraps her paws around our ankles...again, no claws just paws. Then she'll get up and do it again and again. It's as if she's hugging our feet but her head is practlcally between her front legs and she does a perfect tumble!
Pet’s sweetest moments:
She sits on the top of the commode tank and waits while I shower; once I get out and into my terry robe she will try every possilbe way to get on my shoulder which she used to do when she was a kitten and even though she is fully grown and only weighs 9 pounds, she's WAY to big for that, but she doesn't think so! Sometimes she actually manages to do so while I'm brushing my teeth. She winds up on my back and just lays there with her head and front paws hanging over my shoulder!
I crack up when my pet:
Does just about anything because she is soooo very silly ... all the time!
My pet is unique because:
She's my Sassie; she's definitely one-of-a-kind!!! Very precious to me and I love here dearly.
I'm writing this message just to let you know that I would love it if you were to visit my webpage and perhaps become a member of the site
Visit (FFASC) Fight For Animal Safety Communities
The reason I started this group on the Ning site is not to draw members away from the ASPCA community to have a chance to check out the Social Network and maybe join.
I'm sorry to hear that. Mama cat might of taken her kitties to a safer place. Can happened. Please continue to look for them and check places even though you don't think they are there.
All of them are in your prayers and you too.
I sure hope that they had completely left the house just yet. That cat and possibly kitten could be stuck in inside with no way of getting out. Please make sure that she and kitty are out.
Is she a vet-tech??? If so, she should be taking better care of those cats(kittens including). You sound liked you got a good idea going. Keep it up!! Thanks for helping them.
You can talked to me anytime. I have a good hear for listening. As for the kittens that hadn't eaten have you considered using an eyedropper to add their food down their throat(not all the way, but enought to go down)????? Any vet can give you that advice as well as Chasity. Good idea on the dog house with the hay.
You've been a member for 8 months?! WOW and OMGosh, Laura...I now know I am way over my head; but I love animals so much I refuse to quit! Thanks for the pictures...they're sooo sweet...!

Renee, your mistake was an honest one. It's a shame that the child can't see it for that and continues to spew her venom. What I posted about fullmoon farms is what I know about them from seeing them on the news and the problems they've had over the…
