At 5:45am on October 20, 2008, Tina Porter said…: Hey Tiffany how's it going.I noticed that you live in San Antonio Texas.My Uncle who I love very much lives in San Antonio.I was in Texas to help with Hurricane Ike for the American Red Cross on September 11,2008 Thursday to September 18,2008 Thursday.I was in Texas for 8 days I think that is right but I am not sure.All the places I stayed while in Texas are on the Map of Texas below.I am on the ASPCA Community Website every single day except when I was in Texas for a 3 week deployment on September 11,2008 Thursday and until October 2,2008 Thursday.I was in Texas for 2 weeks I think I am not sure.I was deployed to Texas to help with Hurricane Ike for the American Red Cross.I left Denver Colorado September 11,2008 Thursday went to the Denver International Airport got on a plane flew to Amarillo Texas and Dallas Texas with two people from Denver,drove to Fort Worth Texas with my team of 5 people from Alaska,Mississippi,two from Colorado,and Wisconsin.I stayed in a Red Cross Staff shelter for about a week with my team,drove to Pasadena Texas and stayed at a Client Red Cross Shelter for the rest of the week.I flew home by myself.I love to travel with my family.My Uncle lives in San Antonio.There were Red Cross Volunteers and Red Cross Staff from all over the world helping with Hurricane IKE.I had so much fun in Texas.I played with all the kids in the Red Cross Client Shelter.There was always a large group of kids that I played with while I was in Texas.I chased the kids and played basketball with the kids which was so much fun.I love kids so much they are so cute.Helping with Hurricane Ike was my first NATIONAL DEPLOYMENT ASSIGNMENT FOR THE AMERICAN RED CROSS and it was a very rewarding experience for me and this something I will never ever forget.I am a Red Cross Volunteer for the American Red Cross Mile High Chapter in Denver Colorado.I am a DAT member or Disaster Action Team Member,A Shelter Operations Worker,and a Mass Care Worker.I volunteer at the American Red Cross Mile High Chapter every Thursday.Here is a detailed map of Texas and where in Texas I stayed.
