You were my best friend and my most devoted companion. I will cherish your memories for the rest of my days, will never forget the day we met or the life that we shared. I will forever be thankfull for the things you tought me about life and the way that no matter what hapons on any given day, I always had the never ending, unconditional love I felt every time I looked in to your eyes.
I am so sorry our time was so short and regret the things I was never able to teach you, and wasn't able to learn all the things you would have tought me.
It has been eight years buddy, and it is still so hard to hear your name or catch a glimps of Rufus and remember you.I'm sorry if I let you down by teaching you to protect me, and I should have known that you would have done it anyway.but I want you to know that I will never fail another friend the way I failed you.
Friends are to grow old with the ones they love, and I can only spend the rest of my life making that up to you.
I wish you could meet Rufus buddy you would like him I know he would love you. But I will not fail your memory I sware this to you.when things get tough I look at your picture and remember what I owe you and It helps me work a little harder, pick myself up and push that one more mile. your memory give's me that never quit attitude I must have to make things rite.
I made you a promise the last day we were together as I held you in my arms and told you everything would be all right and I ment it .We will see each other again my sweet friend..... Just not yet...

NOT BAD AT ALL FOR A 11 WEEK OLD PUP!!
Brought RUFUS to the local skate park today.Thought that would be a good place to socialize him,and it went great tons of people zooming aroud on bikes and skateboards.He was a tipical puppy kind of scared of the comotion at first and then I sat down on the grass and he sat between my legs and after a minute he was cool with it.Then tons of people came up and I even met a couple of kid's that had pits at home.I used to skate and it was just cool to talk to all the skaters of today,man they do some sick shi# on boards now a day's, and so young.All in all today was a good day.Rufus probably met 20 ppl at that park.Wow what a positive socialization day for my boy.(I love you roof)Next time I'll bring the camera..
