Nova is the funniest dog I've ever met. She is the only dog I know who loves tomatoes, apples, carrots, peas, beans, bananas, melons, lettuce, anything she can reach in my garden beds.

This is where you can really turn around the "Bad Rap" Pit Bulls have gotten by the media by sharing your amuzing, and sweeter side of your Pit Bull stories :)

When I was younger I lived in an area where people fought pitbulls and I hated seeing the dogs they would bring my mother, when they were all torn and bleeding (she grew up on a farm and knew how to sow up a wound.) Every single one of them would ju…

Profile Information

Proud pet parent of:
A female pitbull (Nova) and a toy poodle ( Lola)
How we met:
I used to watch Lola for an elderly man and took ownership of her when he could no longer care for her by himself. Nova was actually the runt of the litter. She had several health issues and her owners felt they did not have the ability to provide her with the attention she needed (they had several dogs to look after.) So I took her off their hands.
Pet likes:
Lola loves to be petted and loved on. She also loves snuggling under the covers.
Nova loves to run and eat my tomatoes off the vines and beans off the bushes.
Pet dislikes:
Lola hates to be groomed but in the summer, it is nessacary. She especially hates to have the clippers anywhere near her face.
Nova hates thunderstorms. She is now a very large, 50-pound dog but if she hears one peal of thunder, off she goes, racing to hide under the bed.
Pet’s favorite spot:
Lola's favorite spot is beside anyone willing to rub her belly.
Nova's favorite spot is in my garden snatching veggies from the beds.
Pet’s favorite toy:
Both of them enjoy anything that can be thrown. Fetch (or rather they catch and I chase) is their favorite game.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Lola's silliest habit is ,around 10:00 at night, she starts racing around the house as fast as she can, not letting anyone catch her. She does this every night without fail.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
The sweetest moment I can think of is when Nova was a puppy. She had raised her head and yawned in my face. I always love the smell of puppy breath; it is so sweet.
I crack up when my pet:
I cannot help but laugh when Nova wags her tail. It sounds like a drum beating.
My pet is unique because:
Lola is the worst beggar I've ever known and Nova is unique she doesn't fit the most people's pitbull stereotype.
