Nicknames: Baby, Princess, Little Paws, Wuzza Wuzza, Baby Head, Kissy Head, Little Girl, Her High-nee-ness.....
- How we met:
- Hubby and I adopted her from a shelter about 7 years ago (Animal Haven in Flushing, NY). I was volunteering there. She was an older cat, was scruffy, depressed, had a swollen eye, but her loving nature and her passion for the good life she once had had was there, and she won me and hubby over in about 2 seconds. I had to have her. When she came to us we discovered she had 3 infections to be cured. She now suffers from renal disease, and some other ailments, but she started going downhill about a year ago....more recently the last 6 months. . But she had a strong drive to live, a survivor, even toward the end....and she was and is the light of our lives. She was incredibly sweet, loving, gentle, just gorgeous!! But on May 4 of this year, our sweet darling had to leave this earth, and our hearts are shattered.
- Pet likes:
- Being worshipped by Mommy and Daddy!! She loved tuna, playing and killing various sticks, towels, being petted, (she was a lap cat), sleeping under her blankie, being cuddled. Laying in the sun. She stopped playing during the last year, but still enjoyed being cuddled and petted.
- Pet dislikes:
- Her medicines, the Vet...,
- Pet’s favorite spot:
- Several. She loved to go under blankets and in boxes. She had her chair, with her blanket, her THRONE, LOL..... Also at the top of her tower. Also, laying in the sun...and ..most important, lounging in our laps!!
- Pet’s favorite toy:
- An old pair of my husband's swim shorts. And a stick. The combo is something she loved to kill all the time!!
- Pet’s silliest habit:
- Too many to count!! LOL
- Pet’s sweetest moments:
- When she was in my or hubby's lap, cuddling, looking up at us so lovingly.
- I crack up when my pet:
- Ran amok, plays, stalked the inanimate objects, ran amok with her nails clicking on the wood floors, as she skided into the wall, unharmed, and continued charging ahead with glee.....
- My pet is unique because:
- She was my furry cat daughter. I don't know how to answer this....she just was.......unique in many wonderful ways that words can't describe.
I don't know how to go on without my beautiful little girl. I just joined the Pet Memorial Group because I am not coping well at all, and feel lost. I cry all the time.
A little about me......I am a member of the ASPCA, The Humane Society Of The US, The Fund For Animals, The Animal Rescue Site, Alley Cat Allies, and donate to the shelter where I adopted my gorgeous cat. (I used to volunteer at Animal Haven, in Flushing, NY, with FIV and FeLV cats)

Maybe. I myself checked out the website and they seem to be a great place, but the numerous amount of dogs in such a small seeming area does bring me to wonder.

More like New Years Resolutions to break for me, but I plan to spend more time out in the "real" word instead of online, and to extend my knowledge of horses/animal health. I guess it wouldn't hurt to pull my grades up a bit, either.
