Profile Information

Proud pet parent of:
tigra - my baby girl ( she's a big girl now, but still my baby )
willow- my prissy kitty
mr.max- my sweet special boy
How we met:
tigra came from a pitbull rescue, her momma was rescued and she was born there. she is a special girl.
willow was adopted from northshore animal league
mr.max some dirtbag threw him out a car window, i was lucky to be there and take him home and make him well, i wasn't keeping him, but i fell in love with him and he is here forever
Pet likes:
tigra loves tug of war. her chewee bones, will walk beside me all day long. snuggling is her favorite past time
willow just likes to be left alone, will come when she wants to get attention other than that she only wants her fuzzy mice
mr.max he is a snuggle baby, he loves life and enjoys everyday to the fullest. he loves tigra and will cuddle with her all day
Pet dislikes:
willow dislikes all her brothers and sisters, she is a loner ( but secretly a mommas girl) tigra dislikes wheels, she has to attack them at all costs, she hates honey. mr max is just a happy go lucky little guy he loves everything.
Pet’s favorite spot:
as long as tigra is with me, it is her favorite spot, or on her window bed in the sun, willow likes to hangout in the closet on her bed. and mr. max likes to be near tigra.
Pet’s favorite toy:
mr. max loves krinkle balls, tigra loves her tug of war pulls and her squeaky babies, willow likes her fuzzy ball.
Pet’s silliest habit:
tigra will spin around and around with her jolly ball in her mouth
mr. max runs up the walls and willow hides her toys in her bed so no one else gets them
Pet’s sweetest moments:
tigra is sweet everyday. she is most sweet in the morning with her kisses, and watching over max. max and tigra cuddling together.
willow is sweet only when she wants something
I crack up when my pet:
when tigra tries to bury her new bones in the laundry pile or when she throws her rope around until someone plays with her
My pet is unique because:
they are all unique because they are themselves , and total free spirits..

Hey Debi! I really think once you are done with your program, we need to start our nonprofit! :) I've been thinking about it and perhaps there is a reason I can't find a job.......I am meant to start my own! :) Hope you have a great weekend, look forward to catching up when I return.

That is exactly what happened to me with Schmoo! I saw a plastic bag come out of the car window and I thought "stupid redneck litterers" and when I saw the bag move....OMG I couldn't believe a kitten could live through that, but I guess that's why they say they have 9 lives! Schmoo is such a special soul. I cannot imagine life without him. When I moved to NYC I flew with him in a carrier under the seat in front of me. I should say the carrier was in my lap most of the time, though, when the flight attendants weren't looking, because the A/C vent is on the floor of the plane and I figured if my feet were cold, Schmoo was cold. He was a real trooper. I had to take him out of the carrier when we went through Security, and I held him over my shoulder like he was a baby. He just looked around at everyone and all the security agents came to pet him, they couldn't believe how calm he was, they kept saying "cats are never this calm here". He seemed to enjoy the cab ride from the airport to our apt. - he kept looking out the window at all the people on the streets, and at the buildings. He didn't meow or complain until we were in the elevator in our building. Then he let out a long, low meow. We brought him into our bedroom and opened the carrier, and he immediately ran into the bathroom to the litter box, which explained the long low meow in the elevator! Then he went to his food bowl and ate a little, drank a little water, and then plopped up on the bed next to me and looked at me and started purring. Just like we'd never left home! I adore that cat. I know we shouldn't have favorites, but he "gets me" in a way that is just amazing.

I was reading in your profile about Mr. Max being found after being thrown out a car window - you should read my profile about my Schmoo - that's how I got him too! He's almost 7 now, sassy and happy. He loves his mama. I love him so much.

Hi Debi, I don't work for the ASPCA, I volunteer for them. But here is the NYC web page that your friend can take a look at, it has all the resources of the shelter on it, including how to volunteer and available jobs/careers.
