Profile Information

Proud pet parent of:
my two adoralble kitties!!!!NIGHTSHADE and her sister MOONSHADOW!!!!
How we met:
i was having a down period,my marrage ended and i was lonely,i saw an ad in the paper for two kittens,i called, and now i have two kitties to love!!!
Pet likes:
my girls LOVE their kittle!!!But they also love to play!!!!I got a laser pointer(the BEST toy ever!!!)and i'll ask them if they want to play with the dot,and they go crazy!!!
Pet dislikes:
well, nightshade really doesn't like to be held for long, she'll let me hold her when i come home from work,or if i'm playing with her.Moonshadow,on the other hand will let you hold her for about five minutes,
Pet’s favorite spot:
on top of the couch by the window,i get alot of sun there in the summertime.and my girls love it!!!
Pet’s favorite toy:
the laser toy!!!without a question
Pet’s silliest habit:
my girl's love my dirty clothes hamper!!!They love "helping" me do the dishes and "make the bed"
Pet’s sweetest moments:
when i'm sad,or not feeling well,my nightshade will rub her head against mine like she's trying to tell me,it's ok
I crack up when my pet:
my girls LOVE WATER!!!I have no idea why,but everytime i run the water to do the dishes, they perch themselves right on the edge of the sink and lie down right by the running water!!!I laugh everytime they bat at it with their paws!!!There's a game i play with nightshade,i call it"flick and fetch"i'll take a piece of kibble and place it on my knee and then,i'll take my middle finger and i'll "flick" the kibble off onto the floor, then nightshade chases it across the floor!!!It's funny to watch her!!
My pet is unique because:
my two kitties are all that i have, they really inspire me whille i study to become a feline vet!!!They also know what i'm talking about when i "talk" to them

Hey hows the schooling coming along? any luck? thought I'd check in...might need you one day...*wink*...the gang is doing good here. We lost one chi chi yesterday....we had put up a fence 6ft tall, and put elec. wiring on it also...well my Stitches found a loop hole.
We found him laying in the street, hit by a car, he is now gone...it was real hard on me...he use to curl up on my belly to sleep every night. and his brother keeps looking for him.

Hi Lori,

I started as a vet assistant then worked my way up to vet tech. That is when I started going to school to earn my Veterinary Technology degrees. I started that when I was 33 years old. So it is NEVER too late to live your dream.

After studying regular veterinary medicine, I decided I wanted to turn to a holistic more natural way of caring for animals. This is when I went for my degree in Doctor of Natural Veterinary Medicine.

Now I am an advocate to end animal abuse all over the world and was appointed the USA Representative of OIPA (International Organization for Animal Protection). I was also notified that I was nominated for the Animal Planet Hero of the Year award. They have not selected the 12 finalists yet, so I am sitting on pins and needles.

So, you see, it is NEVER too late to live YOUR dream. Start today to change your life and start taking the steps needed to make your dreams come true.

Tune into one of my shows sometime. They are every Saturday from 2:30pm-3:30pm EST USA time (the site will show you the time the show starts in your area) at www.blogtalkradio.com/thepawzcauze and I also have music shows on Mondays from 3pm-5pm EST USA time at www.radiogetswild.com. My DJ name is Ice and you can take a look at the schedule to see what days and times my shows are on.

Pawz Up,
Rev. Dr. Leigh Foster aka DJ Ice on Radio Gets Wild

Hi,Lori, I was gonna reply to a message you replyed to on my page but I ran across the Rescue Train story and im gonna join, say this is something I have been wanting to do all my life and I found it but my husband won"t let me go there, that really botheres me if he wasn"t in bad health it would be ok but he can"t travel or any thing, and we don"t have the money so I gould travel there, so it is really upsetting to know im needed and can"t help. But I want you to know I want to so bad.

Hi Lori. Thanks for joining my RESCUE TRAIN group. Get your friends to join, the more the merrier.

I'm in Washington state and we have many openings for Vet Assistants here. I'm an unlicensed tech, (assistant) and I'm always getting job offers. It doesn't pay a lot, but that's not why we do it is it. Also here you don't need to waste your money going to school. Many of the clinic will train on the job.

Email me if you want more info.

lori, Good Morning! Sounds like your girls are wonderful for you, you both found something you needed in life, LOVE...How fantastic!!! i wish you all the best in your career, as to having to wash dishes, there is no shame in "earning" what you want in life, it makes you appreciate things more. Best Wishes!!! *hugs* Hang in there like your kittens.

Does your dog have brown stains in the feet or face? As Barbara has mentioned, check the food with your veternarian because certain dog foods could be causing the dogs system to produce yeast toxins, that is a major cause of allergy toxins. Foot lic…

Come on in and talk about anything your heart desires as long as you respect others. You do not have to talk about animals. Post a joke, a story you read, let out your frustrations etc. Be Nice!
