Sluggo - he's one of our rescues.....a white german shepherd...Max is the golden-retriever mix - they get along so wonderfully!!!
How we met:
Sluggo came from WGS Rescue and we adopted Max from the Cleveland APL.
Pet likes:
Sluggo and Max love to take walks, and be petted behind his ears - and if anybody even mentions the "brush" - Sluggo's there...faster than a speeding bullet. Our dogs get along with our cat and even the bird - a conure (all of them are rescues)...
Pet dislikes:
Sluggo doesn't like visitors... He's very protective - but he's a real "baby" when we take him to the vet or groomer - they always give him 100%...LOL
He doesn't like carrots. He loves everything else tho!
Pet’s favorite spot:
Sluggo loves to sit under the computer desk if i am on-line...or under the table if we're having dinner....and right at the side of the bed when we sleep. We HAD to teach him not to sleep on the bed, as there was never enough room for all three of us! LOL Max is more of a loaner.
Pet’s favorite toy:
Sluggo's squeaky toys are his favs. Or the soccer ball that is kind of emaciated --- i am going to have to introduce a new one soon....
Max doesn't play with toys - he likes to watch Sluggo --- haha!!
Pet’s silliest habit:
They love to croon along when the emergency vehicles drive by (we live on a main thoroughfair) - they loves to howl!
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Sluggo loves to kiss and sniff our cat and even the bird.
Sluggo sits and offers a paw when he wants to be brushed...some times he even brings the brush!!!
I crack up when my pet:
Howls at the emergency vehicles and when he's in his little swimming pool in summer as he 'digs' the water!!! So funny!
My pet is unique because:
He does exactly as he is told....i don't ever have to command more than once. He "stays" - he "sits" - he "gets his ball" - he "goes to sleep" - anything i say - it's great he understands English! LOL

Hi, I signed the petition "maximum penalty for the men who hacked up a puppy." I'm asking you to sign this petition to help us reach our goal of 100,000 signatures. I care deeply about this cause, and I hope you will support our efforts. Here are the basics of the case:
Hardened police officers have been shocked by the horrifying torture, mutilation and brutal slaying of a seven month old fox terrier puppy near Mackay at the weekend.
If found guilty, they could face up to two years in prison. Police have obtained video footage from a mobile phone which shows graphic images of the puppy yelping and howling in terrible pain as it hacked to pieces with garden shears and a pocked knife.
They said the owners were too distressed to talk to anyone about it.
The pups nose was cut off, its front right leg and rear left leg were cut off and it was decapitated. A three-part video series on a mobile phone shows the dog being tortured.
The maximum penalty under the Animal Care and Protection Act for such an offence is $75,000 or two years in jail; however the maximum penalty ever handed out has been a four month jail term.
WE BELIEVE THESE MEN SHOULD RECIEVE THE MAXIMUN PENALTY AVAILABLE IN AUSTRALIA FOR THIS SADISTIC, DISGUSTING ACT.
Listen, I agree.. we have to do something. We can't let horses suffer from neglect just because owners don't want them anymore and they don't know what to do with them. I totally see your point.
But I believe someone else here made the point that j…
