Colby, 12 year old boy. Gracie, Austin aka "Aussie Bear", Charlie and Hunter.
How we met:
Gracie and Austin- online breeders. Charlie was at the Stanislaus county animal regulation. Hunter was on death row at the Merced county animal control.
Pet likes:
Gracie likes to jump against the fence at a full run and she loves to talk. Austin loves to bark and fetch. Charlie and Hunter love to snuggle, anyone willing, on the couch.
Pet dislikes:
Gracie dislikes other female dogs. Austin tolerates having his nails cut, but really, really would rather do anything else. Austin also dislike car rides more than 15 minutes. He vomits, poops and drools. Poor baby. He is my quiet boy, likes lazy days at home.
Pet’s favorite spot:
Gracie on any hard, cool floor. Austin's would be behind the couch or in his crate. Charlie and Hunter the couch, definately the couch. Preferably on a soft lap.
Pet’s favorite toy:
Gracie cats, anything to give her a good chase. Austin any toy that can he thrown and brought back. And, oh the treat ball. Austin loves his treat ball. Charlie would have to be his Toughies Chew Toys, he loves and so do I. I don's have to replace everyday. Hunter, anything. Especially right now because he is teething. He is about 4 months old, give or take a month.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Gracie, definately talking to herself. Austin, when he barks his fron legs hop up. It's the funniest thing. Everytime, my son and I get a kick out of it. Charlie, when we go to the river he swims to the other side and cries and wimpers when he finds out that he is the only one there. Hunter is definately the clumsiest dog on the planet. Being a pup that is part hound/ dane makes him a goofy pup.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Between 8-10 at night. Everyone is tired from their day and we are all cuddled together on the couches or sprawled all over the family room. Everything is mellow and serene, until the doorbell rings- Then utter .............................
I crack up when my pet:
Gracie smothers every male that comes over, we call her "Jezebelle." Austin, the barking/ jumping thing. Charlie and that come hither look. And Hunter, everything he does. He is just a big boned goofball. I hope he never grows out of it.
My pet is unique because:
They are all unique because they give me so much love and compassion daily that it helps me give love and compassion back to my patients at work. I am a Hospice nurse and I could not do what I do without the unconditional love that fills my heart from my kidz. God has blessed me by putting these sweet souls in my life.
i totally agree that all dogs, whatever the breed, should be on a leash. i had a german shepard for 13 years and he was a gentle giant and very well trained. i had a pure pitbull for 10 years and she also was a gentle, sweet dog. i now have a pitbul…
