Animal Rescue
Hi, all you animal lovers. This is pretty simple... Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute (How about 20 seconds) to go to their site and click on the purple box 'fund food for animals' for free. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the numbe…

I can't help but notice that some people ask the DUMBEST questions. EX...why does my dog chase cars? Answer: WHY IS YOUR DOG NOT ON A LEASH? I can't understand why some people have absolutely no common sense when it comes to their pets. Will my plants hurt my dog if he eats them? How about this...Put the plants where the dog can't get to them. Every petowner's home NEEDS to be petproof. Good Lord, People. USE YOUR HEAD.

A friend emailed this to me and I could not resist sharing it. LOL
A dog is truly a man's best friend.
If you don't believe it, just try this experiment.
Put your dog and your wife in the trunk of the car for an hour.
When you open the trunk, who is really happy to see you!?

Once I was a lonely dog,
Just looking for a home.
I had no place to go,
No one to call my own.
I wandered up and down the streets,
in rain in heat and snow.
I ate what ever I could find,
I was always on the go.
My skin would itch, my feet were sore,
My body ached with pain.
And no one stopped to give a pat
Or to gently say my name.
I never saw a loving glance,
I was always on the run.
For people thought that hurting me
was really lots of fun.
And then one day I heard a voice
So gentle, kind and…

I lay down bleeding, bruised, and sore - broken spirit, just like before.
Can't he see my pain, my fright? I want to play, and love - not fight.
I see his hand as it comes down, and as he speaks I can hear his frown.
I shrink down closer to the floor, but I know just what ís in store.
I whimper softly, though in vain. My punishment - a four foot chain.
Left outside for seven days. No food, no water, eyes that glaze.
I rest my eyes, close them tight, trying to forget my plight.
As I open them aga…

You have a kiddie wading pool in the yard but no small children
Lintwheels are on your shopping list every week.
Your freezer containes more dog bones than anything.
You hang around the dog section of your local bookstore way too often.
Your non-dog friends won't eat food prepared in your kitchen.
Your parents refer to your pet as their "grand-dog."
You have baby gates permanently installed at strategic places around the house but no babies.
You open your purse and that big bunch of baggi…

OLord, don't let me once forget
How I love my trusty pet-
Help me learn to disregard
canine craters in my yard
Show me how to be a buddy
even when my sofa's muddy,
Don't allow my pooch to munch
postal carriers for lunch,
Shield my neighbor's cat from view,
guide my steps around the doo,
Train me not to curse and scowl,
when it's puppy's night to howl,
Grant I shan't awake in fear
with a cold nose in my ear,
Give me patience without end-
Help me be "A DOG'S BEST FRIEND."

I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter; the cast-offs of human society.
I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness, and betrayal. And I was angry.
"God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"
God was silent for a moment, and then spoke softly, "I have done something," was the reply. "I created all of you."

Now I lay me down to sleep,
The king-size bed is soft and deep..
I sleep right in the center groove
My human being can hardly move!
I've trapped her legs, she's tucked in tight
And here is where I pass the night
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
Till morning comes and "I want food!"
I sneak up slowly to begin
my nibbles on my human's chin.
She wakes up quickly,
I have sharp teeth-
I'm a puppy, don't you see?
For the morning's here
and it's time to play
I always seem to get my way.
So thank you…

I truly believe there should be laws passed that are the same as adopting a child when people want to adopt a pet. There should be background checks, interviews with neighbors, character witnesses, interviews with family, the whole 9 yards. Just ANYONE should not be allowed to have a pet. Especially if that person has brought animals to a shelter, is known for any kind of misbehavior toward neighbor's pets OR have children that are not taught how to treat an animal. If I saw a neighbor mistreati…

WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE? Beagles are the one of most lovable forgivable breed there is. People are cold and cruel and their actions UNFORGIVABLE. There is no excuse for this kind of treatment and NO dog deserves this. It made me cry. These people do not deserve to live in our society.

I am happy to say that new laws have been passed in my state concerning cruelty to animals. ANY person found to have caused any kind of pain or suffering to ANY animal is charged with a FELONY. This means jailtime. It includes tying an animal up for long periods of time and confining to small areas. It ALSO includes dogfighting of any kind. It is good to see that legislation is finally putting their foot down to stop these cold hearted people who have no business owning pets much less living in…
