My laptop is back up and functioning-- I've uploaded 22 new pictures of Ostara and Shalalee. Both are doing awesome!! Ostara is up to 3.6 pounds and Shalalee is 4.8. They are doing awesome!! We're still looking for reasonable priced vets in our area.

Thank you for your kind thoughts. I have so many good memories about my cat Bobby. Sixteen years worth. He used to stay in my second bedroom. I now officially call that room "Bobby's Room". Whenever I have guests, they will be staying in Bobby's Room. He'd like that.

You're right about that. I just decided to dropped it and forget about it. They are not as old as I am, I don't think nor had been through what I had been through, I don't believed either. I can overlook matters now and not blow up on a certain attack on something like years ago when I used to.

Gosh...thanx soooo much. I really appreciate it. This is what I need and am happy to have you help me. I will try my hardest. We are not out of the house yet, and I dont know...but I'm thinking...I wish there was a way to...I cant even see me handing him over to someone who will be his new parent. Just thinking about it makes me crazy. Its like all my pictures on the fridge...on the groceries list, my family albums, my desk at work, my profiles for other sites, even in the bathroom, I have something that reminds me of Sowi!!
I will check these out thank You very much. :)

Here's REAL frustration. Take a look at these responses:

Second inquiry:
05/20/2009 @ 06:46 PM Website Receipt acknowledged
Humane Society donor wishes to adopt female black/white Tuxedo cat who, along with her six kittens was being fostered by volunteer ****. Mother and kittens were returned to HSTC for adoption....
STATUS INQUIRY - RESPONSE FROM ADOPTION MANAGER: Thu, May 21, 2009 10:56 am
I am sorry but the cat you are inquiring about is not yet available for adoption. I also do not see any information in our system such as an adoption application. The first step will be to complete an adoption application then wait for the cat to become available for adoption......
STATUS INQUIRY - RESPONSE FROM ADOPTION MANAGER: May 21
Here is the application to get you started. I’m sure it won’t be much longer and I placed a memo on the pet stating you as an interested party. Thank you again.

May 21. Application filled out and returned. We have adopted previously.
STATUS INQUIRY - RESPONSE FROM ADOPTION MANAGER: Sat, May 30, 2009 9:53 am
All I know is that the cat is not in adoption. There is no additional information at this time. Sorry.
STATUS INQUIRY - RESPONSE FROM ADOPTION MANAGER: Thu, June 4, 2009 9:21 am
It is true we have dozens of cats and kittens that need a forever home. I’m sorry but as I have told you previously we are not able to speak of any pets that are not currently available for adoption. I do know that it was noted that there were prospective adopters. All animals are evaluated for health and temperament prior to placement in adoption per shelter policy. At this time your cat you are interested in is not in the adoption area therefore unavailable for adoption.
Inquiry sent to Director.
Text of email:
Frank, the Stuart News states that you have 82 cats available for adoption but there are only photos of 14 on the rarely updated website. Also, I have been trying to adopt an adult female cat returned from foster care with 6 weaned kittens a full two weeks ago and getting absolutely nowhere. We have been generous donors in the past and expect to continue, but under the circumstances we raise reasonable questions; Why is the website almost never updated and where is the tuxedo Mom Cat?
AUTOMATED RESPONSE: June 4, 2009 Thank you very much for contacting us. The appropriate person will get back to you shortly
STATUS INQUIRY - RESPONSE FROM ADOPTION MANAGER: June 4, 2009 10:04 am
I do know that it was noted that there were prospective adopters. (as noted in earlier e mail) I can not release information on a pet that in not available for adoption this is a shelter policy. Again, thank you for your interest and support.
STATUS INQUIRY - RESPONSE FROM ADOPTION MANAGER: Tue, June 9, 2009 2:16 pm
Sorry, she is not in our adoption area.

Hi tbt, Yes, exactly that. North Shore Animal League has a program but it is quite expensive 15k for the first cat and 7.5k for the rest so... with 7 cats that is around 60k I'm hoping to find something a bit more reasonable.

She is doing wonderfully.. She is a bundle of energy!! It is very difficult for "daddy" and I ssometimes to keep with her. She is adapting very well to her human brother and sisters. We have also adopted an orange tabby as a feline brother for her. His name is Shalalee... he's a St.Patrick's day kitty!! They are both very affectionate and joining my mother-in-law's pack of kitties well. The vet is happy with the way she is gaining weight. She's still smaller than he is but he had the benefit of having mom until it was time for him to find a forever home.

They spend most of their days playing with each other or trying to outsmart the dog. Life is never dull... They both seem to love when the children come to visit!! I'll post more pictures once i get my laptop back up and running.

I use dry evo for cats/kittens in the purple bag and I use a couple of different types of canned depending on the circumstances. I like the evo kitten canned and I use wellness canned, Precise is also good and it is a little bit more mushy. I also have some "Taste of the Wild" dry that they seem to really like. It is also a really good organic food. See if a local organic cat food store has samples, instead of wasting money you might be able to taste test a few for the best one. My daughter did that for her cat in Shepherdstown and found just the right cat food for Ginger. Good luck!
