Hi Charlotte, I'm so very sorry to hear about your loss. There are many here that have been through what your heart feels right now, but time is your friend. Know he is at peace and will suffer no longer. As bad as it hurts you now, know that you gave him a great 16 years and he returned each and every one of them. Having a cat for that long is a testament to great pet ownership.

Hi. I'm sorry for your loss. I had to put down my Thumper kitty. She was only 5yrs. She turned very mean. I couldn't have a mean cat with my other cats. At the time we got littleshit and i was afriad that she would hurt the new kitten. Littlshit filled the void but no cat will ever replace her. Tracey thumperkt@att.net
Just remember he had a long life.My vet told me that 16 years is the equivalent of almost 80 years old in a human.I try to think of that when he is missed the most.
I received an e-mail alert about your post regarding your devastating loss. I am so sorry to hear that Bobby has gone to the Rainbow bridge. It's so hard to say goodbye to our best friends.
I have been a pet loss grief volunteer at a site called RainbowsBridge.com for 5 years now, and your post touched me deeply.
How wonderful of you to be looking ahead, and planning to memorialize Bobby with a gift to the ASPCA, especially during your darkest days of sorrow. I know that Angel Bobby is so proud of his momcat! He will live forever and always in your heart, never more than a whisper away from you.
The elder statescat in our home is T.J., a Bengal Cat who will turn 16 on august 4th. He came to us after we lost the defining animal of my life, Bingo (aka: The god Cat). Bingo had lived with cardiomyopathy for 5 years, and peacefully left this earth on his own at the age of 14 years, 1 month, and 11 days. I always tell T.J. that he is my feline savior, because he brought kitty love back to my life when I needed to believe it was possible to love again.
I hope you'll share more about Bobby, and the 16 wonderful years you spent with him,. He was a very lucky guy to have found his way to your loving forever home. I'm sending you virtual hugs of comfort now.
I know exactly how you feel.I had to put my cat Batly down only a couple weeks ago.He was also 16 years old and had kidney failure. It's very sad but they were with us a long time at least.

"IMO it no longer matters who has started it. It only matters that it ends now. I think it would be peachy keen if all future posts in this thread would concern the thread topic and that alone."

Finally, a voice of reason. I just hope they do not turn on you now. You certainly appear to be a decent person, and that might be your undoing.
And if you go to the beginning Darrell, that is what this post was about (animals, the post on the Pit…
I hesitate to post anything in this tempest in a teapot for fear getting things going again. I see some have given apologies and others have revised their views. That's better. While I was gone, it is my understanding that much went on yesterday tha…
