What would you say is/was your most trying case? How about the most emotional? And... How hard is it for you to not bring a new animal home after every shift?

Hey there,

I am disturbed by any act of cruelty towards an animal whether it is neglect or physical abuse, but it is heartbreaking when people starve their animals. If you can't provide at least food and water for your pet than you should not have an animal in your home. It drives me crazy when I get to a house and I see that the animal has no food and someone gives me a lame excuse. I have yet to see a human go without food in my experience. I have taken animals home with me but my house is full at this point. They keep me and my husband very busy, but we adore them all. Thanks for joining our chat. Take care. Great photo!

Thank you for replying. I feel the same as you when it comes to cruelty toward any animal. When my "pack's" food dishes start to get low and they give me questioning looks, I tell them.. Don't worry, I'll get you fed. Even if I have to give you the food I'm planning to eat. Thankfully, it has never come to that point. I would love to be able to rescue all the dogs and cats, but like you my house is full right now too.

I love to watch Animal Precinct. And the ASPCA's commercial featuring Sarah MacGlauglan(sp) is what inspired me to become an ASPCA Guardian. It made me cry. I am also one who would like to work with animals. Sometimes I think I get along with the animals better than I do humans. As far as I'm concerned, a human will never find a more unconditional love, than that from an animal. Keep up the great work and once again, thanks.
