My daughter and son in law have spent a consideral amount of time regarding a hoarding/cruellty case in the Town of Ulster near Kingston N.Y. 79 animals were taken from a residence there, the owner was charege and the grand jury found him not guilty!! The articles can be read in the Kingston Freeman newspaper. The UCSPCA of Kingston rescued the animals, cared for them and had to return them. Some were put to sleep because of their condition. What needs to be done to change the laws of this state, to finally get the help the poor animals need to have at least a normal life. Some of the animals were to be adopted, and were eventually returned to 200 Potter Hill Rd. To the same filthy conditions that they were taken from. At what level of government do we start to get the speed these dogs and cats need to not have to live in such deplorable conditions?
OMG it's horrible seeing poor little kittens and cats searching for something to
eat. The neighbors get mad at their cats for attacking their grandson's box of
Cheese Nips because they are starving. The cats also try to grab the adult's food
off their picnic table.
3 Summers ago, I saw one little kitten belonging to my neighbors whose head was permanently bent to one side. Last Summer, one of their cats I used to watch jump in and out of their
kitchen window ended up stuck in a hole by my back porch. The poor cat died in that hole.
My neighbors were summoned to see the cat and they DENIED that it belonged to them.
Their cats poop in our driveway. They chase each other at night and mate.
I've sat outside and watched cats of all ages and some kittens walk by me. One day,
I counted 8 different cats in an hour.
Last week I was informed that a woman dropped off 3 cats to the neighbor's house.
I'm wondering how to tell if someone is a cat hoarder?
The cats have dirty fur and look sickly to me.
