I have a 4 month old bulldog that was kicked by a neighbor, in the face, three days ago. The police came out and even though he admitted to kicking her, the police said they could not do anything. She went to the vet yesterday because she now has cherry eye in the eye she was kicked. The vet said that this normally happens when there is trauma from something or someone. I can't believe we can not do anything to this neighbor.

Well I guess you get it now, hey about kicking the neighbor, would you be a volunteer? I wish we could sign up, but if we do that to a person that would be physical abuse, if we do that to a dog, they just don't give a fuck and that totally sucks, I don't know why they make animals so inferior if we belong to the same kingdom.

I want to say I am so sorry someone kicked your beloved pet, they should be kicked. I know how it feels to feel nothing will be done. I had a dog my Angel force fed anti freeze and they said there was nothing we could do unless we paid over a hundred bucks to have a necropsie (sp?) done on her to prove she had anti freeze in her system, even though she had green foam coming from her mouth when we found her. I do hope you can get some resolution for your dog.

This is in reference to a criminal case that is currently being prosecuted. A dog was hung in a vile fashion, ending the poor creature's life.
The case # is F08003519. Case information can be found here: http://www.miami-dadeclerk.com/cjis/search1.asp

The case is in Miami, Florida.
Please spread the word. The police, miami-dade animal control and the prosecution are doing their best to prosecute this case and seek justice for this silent victim, but the judge seems determined to give this individual the lightest punishment she can award in this matter. She does not feel that even though animals are flesh and blood, can feel pain and suffering just like everyone else, that animal rights matter. She will let this individual walk away scott free without jail time, because she thinks no one cares. She is actually entertaining the possibility of dismissing the case on the grounds that this is "not a cruel death." Unfortunately beyond the police, animal control and the prosecutors, no one speaks up for, or cares for this dead stray and the judge thinks that because this is not a human being, this is a trivial matter. Please, if you care, send your letters to the judge to let her know that people in America care about seeking real punishment for people who in a cowardly fashion, prey upon animal victims in this manner and that they should get jail time, not a slap on the wrist.
