I have a 4 month old bulldog that was kicked by a neighbor, in the face, three days ago. The police came out and even though he admitted to kicking her, the police said they could not do anything. She went to the vet yesterday because she now has cherry eye in the eye she was kicked. The vet said that this normally happens when there is trauma from something or someone. I can't believe we can not do anything to this neighbor.

I'll spread the link and translate it and I'll also send it to everyone I know, if that helps, and I'll send a letter to that bitch. Unfortunately, she has my mom's beautiful name, Rosa, and my beautiful lastname Rodriguez, God, she really messed it all up. I hate when people I dislike have my same attributes, and characteristics. Especially if it's about rascism and animal cruelty.

Prehaps this is off topic ( I am new here) but is anyone on this site aware of the the incident in western Pennsylvania (Mercer County) involving the blind pony that was probably dragged to death by someone on an ATV?
The article can be found in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Such human depravity is beyond comprehension. Hopefully, someone will come forward and the sub-humans responsible for this nastiness will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. People that prey on animals should be banned from society.

Oh come on, of course, tell the police, or animal control what he did to your dog, don't let him get out of thisw without receiven what he deserves for treating an animal like that. I would kick your neighbor's butt if I had him in front, that makes me mad, so what did you tell him?

Do all you can, take him to court, if it continues like that you may find your doggie harmed some day.

Hi all. So, unfortunately, I ended up on this website and forum because my fiancee and I just witnessed some treatment of a puppy that we would easily call abuse. Basically, being dragged pulled, yanked on a leash. We live on the 3rd floor of a building across the way from the man who did this, viewed this from our kitchen window. It seemed they were heading outside so I went downstairs to interact with him. Not wanting to start too much trouble with a neighbor, I didn't want to call him out directly for what we had seen. I guess I am here just to see what can be done. I read briefly over other replies here, and it seems that food water and shelter are the big concerns. We called the local ASPCA but being that it is 830pm, no one has answered. Can anyone help out when you witness obvious physical abuse? I have a friend who works in a veteranarian's office, on her way to becoming one herself. I have left her a message asking her advice, and we will certainly call a local humane society during open business hours. Our search for help and answers has lead us here, so I thought I would at least post something to see what people had to say. It was pretty awful to witness, and we were both ready to take this poor puppy into our own home if at all possible.

I'm sure that was very upsetting!

It's possible that this person just has never had a dog before and doesn't know what he's doing wrong here! I know it sounds crazy, but that happens more than you think it does. There are an astonishing number of people who actually do love their animals and believe (mistakenly) that manhandling them is the only way to get through to them. And most people severely underestimate the amount of time and training you have to provide a puppy, which can easily lead to the type of frustrated jerking a dog around that you witnessed.

If you are able to speak to the neighbor, maybe you can get a feel for whether he is just frustrated with how to control the puppy and would welcome some dog training tips. If he is amenable to advice, you can recommend some resources for him. Of course, letting the ASPCA handle it would also work.

There is only ONE ASPCA and it's in NYC. It has no branches and no jurisdiction anywhere but NYC. So the ASPCA couldn't handle it unless she lives in NYC and could file a complaint.

If I were you Katrina Cannon I'd take this neighbor to court with the police documents and vet documents. I've seen stuff like this on people's court and the person wins when they have all the papers. Treating Cherry Eye can be very expensive , not only that it was caused by your neighbor. He or she should be paying for every vet expense and such. Please do this. Its not fair to you or your dog. Please keep me informed if you do take this idiot to court. I know you'll win so do it. Just like Nike says.

Good Luck,
Lori
