I have a 4 month old bulldog that was kicked by a neighbor, in the face, three days ago. The police came out and even though he admitted to kicking her, the police said they could not do anything. She went to the vet yesterday because she now has cherry eye in the eye she was kicked. The vet said that this normally happens when there is trauma from something or someone. I can't believe we can not do anything to this neighbor.
You have rights and you can do something. File a lien against them to pay the vet costs. If you really want to get them, contact your local news station and tell them what happened. Tell them you want to know what rights your dog has and have them exposed.
Not only are you intitled to your vet expenses but because this was a malicious act you can probably seek punative damages also. This means the judge can make the guy pay you because he harmed you on purpose.
What state do you live in? If they admit to kicking her, and there is damage to her face, you should be able to press charges. At least you can in Michigan.
The myspace page shows this kid is from North Carolina; i've tried to contact someone in enforcement and it's all in vain. I've heard nothing....i have a video and still nothing is done...very frustrating, i def. sympathize with you.
If you have a State Animal Law that supports cruelty to animals, then you CAN do something........find your state law and present it to your law enforcement...works everytime here in Louisiana
I'm new here to posting, but have followed many comments for sometime. I've found a great new web site, that's attempting to do something new for every dog that ends up behind bars? It's on the whole dog pound issue, killing of dogs, dog bites, dog fighting, breeding and more. It's a film being made called "Bark" (Tales from doggy death row). I think everyone needs to know about this? A movie is a great tool to get peoples attention about these issues. The guy doesn't have all the funding it seems? But organizations like the ASPCA, PETA, and all the rest need to get behind him I think? Look for yourself and see what you think? Let me know? www.barkthemovie.com
There is a way that your nieborhood can retaliate. Shun that individual until it is so uncomfortable that they want to move. Or have a nieborhood meeting and invite this person to it. Let them know just how others think about their actions. Have them stand up in front of everyone for comments from the audiance. Soon they will understand just how unpopular they are. Send them videos of animals that are really abused and make them watch what happens to those pets. They will get the message. Please try anything you can to get your point acrossed. Remember it could be your pet that gets abused by this jerk and if you don't do anything about it now, others will be effected.
A lot of states have yet to have many laws concerning animal abuse. Kansas just added a law to it's books about two years ago when a puppy was found in a trash bin at an apartment complex still alive, the poor thing had chemical burns all over it's little body, the dog died a few days later after being taken to the Humane Society here in Wichita. Shortly after the dog died, a state law was passed calling it "Magnum's law". That anyone found quilty of animal abuse would be fined no more than five thousand dollars and spend no less that one year in jail, with a zero tolerance scale. We are very lucky to have the Humane Society here in Wichita, it has been a place where animals are taken for care and adoption. The City has a pound, if an animal isn't picked up two weeks after the animal is picked up, the animal is disposed of, the animals have a much better survival rate at the Society. Can you check with your local health department and see if any sort of help can be suggested for you? Just a thought.
so i dont know how to post a topic, so whateva im angry and i cant deal with the bullshit of searching.
so chantilly high school in fairfax county VA did a dissection on multiple cats for their anatomy class and it turns out a few of them were pregnant, and some of the kids find it funny so they made a group on facebook.
