animal cruelty

I have a 4 month old bulldog that was kicked by a neighbor, in the face, three days ago. The police came out and even though he admitted to kicking her, the police said they could not do anything. She went to the vet yesterday because she now has cherry eye in the eye she was kicked. The vet said that this normally happens when there is trauma from something or someone. I can't believe we can not do anything to this neighbor.

There should be a law. How can we let something like this continue????

There is a way that your nieborhood can retaliate. Shun that individual until it is so uncomfortable that they want to move. Or have a nieborhood meeting and invite this person to it. Let them know just how others think about their actions. Have them stand up in front of everyone for comments from the audiance. Soon they will understand just how unpopular they are. Send them videos of animals that are really abused and make them watch what happens to those pets. They will get the message. Please try anything you can to get your point acrossed. Remember it could be your pet that gets abused by this jerk and if you don't do anything about it now, others will be effected.

A lot of states have yet to have many laws concerning animal abuse. Kansas just added a law to it's books about two years ago when a puppy was found in a trash bin at an apartment complex still alive, the poor thing had chemical burns all over it's little body, the dog died a few days later after being taken to the Humane Society here in Wichita. Shortly after the dog died, a state law was passed calling it "Magnum's law". That anyone found quilty of animal abuse would be fined no more than five thousand dollars and spend no less that one year in jail, with a zero tolerance scale. We are very lucky to have the Humane Society here in Wichita, it has been a place where animals are taken for care and adoption. The City has a pound, if an animal isn't picked up two weeks after the animal is picked up, the animal is disposed of, the animals have a much better survival rate at the Society. Can you check with your local health department and see if any sort of help can be suggested for you? Just a thought.

so i dont know how to post a topic, so whateva im angry and i cant deal with the bullshit of searching.
so chantilly high school in fairfax county VA did a dissection on multiple cats for their anatomy class and it turns out a few of them were pregnant, and some of the kids find it funny so they made a group on facebook.

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=14868122589

im not sure if this is right to be dissecting pregnant cats or what but to me this is a cruel.

maybe some insight into this would be great.

I totally agree with YOU. My daughter is going to a Christian School and I recently found out that her biology class was doing dissection on pregnant rats. I'm not a big fan of rodants and I do not think it is right in any case. I am going to express my GREAT disapproval to her biology teacher in this practice. I do realize that this is a biology class, I do realize this is a private school, they have their own methods in teaching, I am paying for her to go there to learn but I don't approve of this and I'm not sure how to approach it.

Oh my God, I'm totally destroyed inside...I saw those pictures of the cats being dissected, and all their organs and the little unborn kittens. These kids are not even taking this seriously, they think that is funny and they just mock this, what's the point of giving the kids that type of class if they are not even learning and just cracking up when they split apart and detach the poor animal's insides, I don't know how the government could allow this, but this got to stop. I think we should take this to higher levels and let everyone know about it.
Does anybody know how to start a petition? Well I'll try just to e-mail it for now, and I hope we can make a petition later on.
What really made me mad were comments from this individual's friends like this bitch that wrote "Hell yey cats suck" and this other one "eww who's pointing out the kitty wiener" I'm so sorry for posting this but do you all really think it's correct to have those type of "biology classes" at schools? And do you think it's appropriate to read those comments about animals from these ignorant people who express themselves just by looking at the images?

I wouldn't take the answer given by the police but would go to a lawyer. If you can't afford a lawyer then there are many who do pro bono, or you can go online and try to see if the city you live in has some free legal advice that you could follow. Now you have the witnesses of the police having heard this "person, neighbor" admit to his wrong doing and maybe you can get some legal action, if only for damages and pain suffered by you and your loved one, your dog. At the very least you may be compensated for you vet bills, and maybe the judge will reprimand this neighbor of yours. Hopefully he won't do this again to yours or any other animal in the area. I'm only commenting based on what you have written. But try this if you can. Good luck and best of health to your buddy bulldog.

THEY'RE NO LONGER A NO KILL SHELTER.
YOURE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO TOUCH ANIMALS.
THEY HAD A TRUCKLOAD OF DEAD ANIMALS SITTING AT FRONT DOOR OF OFFICE, 2-
3 TO A BAG AT LEAST.
ANIMALS AREN'T BEING CARED FOR PROPERLY, DOGS DIDN'T HAVE WATER IN
THEIR PANS.
THEY HAVE 1 GREAT DANE PUP THAT HAS SORES ON HIM THAT NEEDS ADOPTED
PRONTO, WE WEREN'T ALLOWED TO SEE OTHERS IN AREA.
THEY REALLY NEED SOMETHING DONE.

I still say you should have documented pictures and vet statements, along with the police report and take your neighbor to small claims court. If you come with every thing stated above you'll win. Thats to bad there isn't a Moral Court also you could take him too. But at least you'll get remberised your money.

You should have called the humane society to see what they could have done. That's just not right,I would really watch your dog,bet you anything that if he's kicking your dog,he's probably abusing his family if he's married as well.I don't understand how people that abuse animals don't get charges against them and if they do it's not very much.Watch your poor pup,so that jerk doesn't do anything else to it.Dee Dee

You should have called your neighbors and jump him, I hate when people get charges for violence to those who deserve it rather than those who did something right, cause I mean, if I was a judge I would say ity is right to kick your neighbor's ass for kicking your baby.
