I have rather a silly question. When a dog mates with another dog and long after the pups are gone does the mother remember who her mating partner is?

Example: When Boon got pregnant with my Max. Do you think she knows that he is the one that fathered the puppies?

I'm not sure about dogs? But I do know my friends cat had kittens and one of their neighbors took one of the kittens. Months went by and the neighbor one day brought the cat back over to their house for them to see the cat. The mother sniffed the cat and seemed to recognize her baby. But that's a pretty good question.

Hahahaha......Susan, leave it to you, girl. I doubt it. Is one dog "better" at mating,
than another? They all look miserable before it's over. It's just an instinctual thing. But I did have one husky/shepherd mix that was attracted to a male doberman pup. (like 6 months old) She was a genuine hussy. LOL
She tried to teach him how to do it, but he didn't get it. LOL!! He had the right idea, just the wrong end.

Oh, I have seen those wrong end screwing many times. I just look at them like WTF?

Another thing, when either male/female starts humping our leg we say "Are you finished hugging us?"

I just about went through the roof the other night though. I had taken a whirlpool and was bending over to dry myself when I got "sniffed," you know where!

LOL! Reminds me of when Boon was in the bathroom one time and Cheech got out of the shower she walks right over to Cheech and just stuck her nose under his peter and lifted it up along with his balls. Cheech almost fell over from that. I was laughing so hard.
