Harley (wild boar dachshund)is definitely a product of a puppymill however, did not know about puppymills until after he winning my heart
Mia (black and tan mini-dachshund) was purchased because we were told she was such a runt of the litter that she probably would not survive and would be disposed of somehow.
Cagnie and Lacie are felines from the same litter and when our daughter who was taking care of her friends mama and babies had an open-house adopt-a-kitten before the mama cat was trasnported to her new home as her owner was moving and the litter had to be adopted out first. I wanted Cagnie and my husband wanted Lacie so we compromised and adopted both of them - that was 14 years ago. Today I salute our beloved Naomi (a shelter dog) who passed on 1 year ago today....she pulled on our every heart string for 14 years and we are trying to honor her today by assistin where and when we can to all pet companions that need our voice to be heard.
Pet likes:
Harley is a couch potato but loves to give kisses and requires belly rubs, and shares the big bed
Mia is a lump of sugar she is sweet and kisses kisses kisses and is totally attached to Harley.
My girls (Cagnie and Lacie) as we call them are as loveable and sweet. Lacie loves people and has to greet all our guests as soon as they walk in the door.
Pet dislikes:
Harley doesn't like his nails clipped.
Mia is a girl....she changes from day to day...hehehehehehehehe!
Pet’s favorite spot:
Harley - big bed
Mia the couch and the back porch when it is sunny
Pet’s favorite toy:
squeeky toys
Pet’s silliest habit:
Mia has to go under the covers on the couch at bedtime and won't go to sleep until you leave her two biscuits.
Harley does a dance in circles until you pick him to bring him up to the big bed however, if one of us me or my husband doesn't go to bed the same time....Harley waits at the end of the bed until we are both with him..........
Pet’s sweetest moments:
when they all wait for me to come home from work and are waiting for me at the door and then watching television they all take their positions on me to snuggle.
I crack up when my pet:
play cathch-me in the yard...............
My pet is unique because:
they were designed especially for me to teach me how to love.
