- How we met:
- Luna showed up on the back deck last Thanksgiving as a feral kitten (she followed Max, my sister's cat, home). We became fast friends. Uri and Josephine were both adopted from the SF SPCA.
- Pet likes:
- Luna: sliced deli turkey (top-shelf, of course; plain yogurt; various balls and fake-mice to chase down; and her homemade nip-in-a-sock; her condo; chatting.
Uri: purring, getting cooed at (when you say sweet things), tuna flakes.
Josie: head-butting, being groomed, meditating, tuna flakes.
- Pet dislikes:
- All: loud noises, mean people, being ignored (not that anyone could).
- Pet’s favorite spot:
- Depends on where the sun, or quiet, is. Soft places. Nearby when I'm meditating. Near me when I'm writing.
- Pet’s favorite toy:
- See above. Then again, anything can become a toy!
- Pet’s silliest habit:
- Luna: she goes feral again when it's turkey time!
Uri: when I was at the laptop for too long, he'd lay on my 'mouse hand'; if I ignored that, he'd start nibbling on my hand.
Josephine: sitting in my lap when I meditated.
All: playing with 'fairies' that only they (and maybe some others) can see.
- Pet’s sweetest moments:
- Uri - see above.
Josie - see above, also, she used to sleep curled up near my head as I slept.
Luna: she's learning to be groomed (she was feral); she follows me around, and will just fall on the floor, purring. Very sweet.
- I crack up when my pet:
- See above. They're great companions, and make me smile and laugh often.
- My pet is unique because:
- Luna still lives with me - she's unique because she still has her 'wild heart' from her feral-kitten days. I love that! And she's Luna.
Uri and Josie were unique in their own ways, too.
