Proud pet parent of:
Cats: Marmalade, Minou (French for kitty), Luke, Tara, and Coal (the last two are fosters).
How we met:
Marmalade was at an ASPCA in NYC!
Minou was hit by a car and brought to a cat vet and that is where I found her.
Luke was a rescue caged up 24/7 - Gad Zooks; can't have that!!!
Tara and Coal came from a cat sanctuary upstate.
Pet likes:
Marmalade: maple syrup, cream cheese,
Minou: popcorn, milk with bran flakes
Luke: standing on floor with paws on window looking out
Coal: Pet me, rub me, love me, give me more and more attention
Tara: playing with toy mouse and other two cats
Pet dislikes:
Marmalade: Don't rub my tummy!
Minou: Being held or sitting on my lap
Luke: Staying in one place too long
Coal: Nothing so far
Tara: when Coal tries to eat her food
Pet’s favorite spot:
Marmalade: My lap!!!
Minou: Beside me on my bed
Luke: On comforter when it is on the floor
Coal: Anywhere I am
Tara: On top of the litter box trying to reach me
Pet’s favorite toy:
Marmalade: He is 20 years old and has outgrown toys
:-(
Minou: String to follow
Luke: Small pillow with cat nip inside
Coal: I don't know, he won't leave my side to play with a toy
Tara: a string with a feather on the end
Pet’s silliest habit:
Minou: sleeps on her back with her front paws pointing up and to the left and her rear paws pointing up and to the right.

Or, when Minou sticks her tongue out and just leaves it there.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Marmalade: when he scooches (spelling?) up to me on his belly and lays flat on my chest with his head in my face.
Luke: when he rubs his head against my face
Tara: when she lays her head on my shoulder while I pet her
I crack up when my pet:
Tara: Ignoring me she will run very fast over my face chasing one of the other cats.
Luke: Stands on his hind legs and looks out the window for a long time. There is a stool he can sit on, but he doesn't.
Marmalade: When he washes his face (this is more cute than funny).
Tara: chases her tail
Minou: When he shows his stomach to everyone!
My pet is unique because:
I think Marmalade knew how lucky he was to have a home when I first adopted him. He would not jump up on anything until I told him he could. He would put a paw on the couch, look at me as if to ask "would it be okay for me to get up there?" and once I said come on and patted the couch seat he would jump up.

And, hey, they are mine!!!!

Minou is special because in some ways she is like a dog. A friend of mine calls her "the puppy."

Luke's tail has a hook at the end (I will get a picture up soon). You cannot (or should not) straighten it out. It is almost as if there is bone there in that it will not budge.

Coal is black but has very distinct red overtones.
Tara's mouth is partially black and partially pink. It is very endearing.
