Daisy the Beagle

I think my wife posted about this. Daisy went to the vet for the first time since we moved back to Massachusetts. They said she was 7 pounds overweight and needed to lose it because beagles can develop hip problems. So we got some new food for her and we'll try to take her for longer walks. I wish we had a place where she could run. We are looking for a house, and it would be nice to have a fenced-in yard where she can run and play safely.

We bought some inferior brand of dog food for Daisy last week. She wasn't eating all that much, and she kept throwing up every day (as I mentioned in the last post). Then last night she was having all sorts of unpleasant bowel sounds and we were worried she would have diarrhea... but she made it through the night OK. We got the food she likes (Beneful).

I bought Daisy a beautiful bed so she could sleep beside me in my home office... it was great until she puked on it! Ewwwwww! Oh well.

So here I am doing my little bit to support animals. I have always loved animals from the time I was very little watching Marlin Perkins in "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom," and "Wild, Wild World of Survival." I watch Animal Planet a lot now, although I like shows where I learn about wild animals more than shows like "Animal Cops" or vet shows, etc. I have an AA in Biological Sciences.
