Proud pet parent of:
A 2 beautiful male shar peis sampson who is 17 yrs old and junior who is 7months, a spoiled 6yr old pitbull girl annie and 2 waterdragons, and a ball python.
How we met:
Sampson i had my since i was little, annie i adopted 1yr and a half ago, my water dragons i got from this guy who had 4 of them in this tiny cage, and my snake i found online.
Pet likes:
Annie loves food, sampson loves to sleep and lick everything, my dragons love to play in their water fountain, and my snake likes to be out if his cage
Pet dislikes:
sampson hates getting his nails trimmed,ears cleaned, and baths! annie dont loud noises, my snake doesnt like fast movement, my dragons dont like the dogs near them.
Pet’s favorite spot:
annies is next to me sampson has his own comfy chair or by the front door watching the house, my snakes is in his hide box, and my dragons are their fountain or hammock
Pet’s favorite toy:
annies is stuffed animals

MooShu (the gal in the picture) is almost 7 and Ming is almost 4.I don't have kids so they are really my babies. They're really independent and aloof. Like most other Sharpies, they hate water rain and dirt. They were both born pretty much potty-trained. That was really weird- not having to train them not to poop or tinkle in the house! The just NEVER did it- not even an accident now and then. I think that is so funny! did you have the same deal? Everyone I know who has SP's had the same thing happen- no potty training! That kind of amuses me. MooShu is a brush coat (almost a bear coat) andMing is a short brush coat. They are both unusually soft for Shar-Peis which is also a little weird because they aren't related.

Hey Tina,

That's terrific. I'm so jealous. I hope MooShu and Ming come close to 17. It's so depressing at each of their birthdays. I get so sad that it's another year. I need to turn that around, it's now possible that they could live another 10 years!

you know, i work a lot of hours also, and i find that fostering older dogs is easier, since they are usually house broken already, and a lot calmer. and yeah, they gave up molly to spread the word of god. you know, this shit pisses you off, but if you think about it, someone who would dump a dog shouldnt have one, so really, molly is better off now. she's not cowering, or biting anymore, so she's doing a lot better. whoever does adopt her will be a very lucky person with a great dog.

Tina, did I read that correctly- 17 YEAR OLD SHAR-PEI? Please tell me it's so! Is he pure breed? Ususally it's the mixed doggies that live so long.
