Profile

Proud pet parent of:
3 rescue parakeets: Isaac, Pulsipher and MingMing. My little girl Peridot passed away last summer after crop hernia surgery.
How we met:
I found all of my sweeties on Petfinder.com
Pet likes:
I am a bird person. Plain and simple.
Pet dislikes:
MingMing does not like the paper towel. Fortunately I have not had to try to catch her with it for a long time. She has come a very long way in being tame and will go home (or come outside) when you want her to. She is a love.

Pulsipher is weird. Sometimes he just does not want to come out to play. I am afraid he is going to get cage-bound. When he goes for his check up I am going to talk to the vet about this.

Isaac is not big on hands. He is the one of my birds that I am positive was neglected and abused. He still has emotional baggage after 5 years with me. For a while he would say "watch it, bird" alot. That is nothing I ever said to him, it must have come from his former "home".
Pet’s favorite spot:
Pulsipher, next to his disco ball, definately!

Ming Ming, probably on her "bed perch", it's the highest one in her house.

Isaac likes sitting on what I call his "time out" perch. It's back in the corner, put there to help him get off his swing. He can see
everything from that perch...or as I like to say "survey his kingdom" :)
Pet’s favorite toy:
MingMing gets attached to things and regurgatates on them, so I have to remove toys regularly...lol

Pulsipher loves anything shiny or fuzzy. His disco ball is his favorite, he can see himself a hundred times!

Isaac loves his little birdie, and really plays with all toys equally.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Ming Ming is not really silly...she is sort of regal. My nickname for her is "Duchess".

Isaac insists on playing and climbing on his swing after he is covered up for the night and the lights are out. I call him "Cirque de sol Isaac" lol

Pulsipher is always jumping on my hand. ALWAYS!
Pet’s sweetest moments:
MingMing has to give me a kiss on my nose every night before bedtime.

Pulsipher, when he is still. Which is not very often. I think he is part finch. He is pretty much always on the move.

Isaac, when he sits in his spot next to the front of the cage with his foot on the bars. This means he wants "lovins", so I go and talk to him softly and give him lots and lots of kisses.
I crack up when my pet:
See "silliest moment"...
My pet is unique because:
They are rescue parakeets. I love parakeets the most...most people prefer larger birds, but the little guys just steal my heart!
