Profile

My website or blog:
http://pitbullsonlinecommunity.ning.com/profile/Critters2Love
Proud pet parent of:
Boon-Pit Bull
Max-Lab/Golden
Dikota-Pit Bull/Lab/Golden
Reyna-Pit Bull
King-Pit Bull - RIP 3-15-08
Katie-Husky - RIP 11-7-01
How we met:
I adopted Katie, our first dog from the pound that had been abused. She gave us 3 great years of her life until she got cancer and passed on. During the 3 years we had her we had adopted Max in which was a Birthday gift to myself. Several years later my daughter resued King and then Reyna. King got my son-in-laws dog pregnant and we took in Boon. She then got pregant with Max. We found homes for all 8 puppies but one person couldn't keep Dikota and we took him back.
Pet likes:
Lots of bones and stuffed animals. Of course they may find mischief and find something to chew on.
Pet dislikes:
Animals being abused!
Plastic bags. They don't like the sound of them. They also dislike when there is shouting in the house. Not shouting at them but to another family member.
Pet’s favorite spot:
Anywhere besides a family member.
Pet’s favorite toy:
Stuffed animals.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Boon has to sleep under the covers with me. All the Pit Bull's sit on a chair like humans do.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Everyday being with them brings the sweetest moments to all of us.
I crack up when my pet:
King, talks to you.
My pet is unique because:
All pets are unique for all the unconditional love they give.

A Tribute To Rescuers - Thank You!

Parvo - What Is It?

Parvovirus Canine parvovirus disease is currently the most common infectious disorder of dogs in the United States. 'Parvo' is a highly contagious disease characterized by diarrhea that is often bloody and is caused by a pathogen called canine parvovirus, Type 2 (CPV-2). In 1980, the original strain of CPV-2 was replaced by CPV-2A and in 1986, another variation called CPV-2B appeared. Today, CPV-2B has largely replaced the previous strains as the most common isolate.
