- How we met:
- ★ MK - Found at 5 wks old on the streets on Dec. 5th 2006
★ MOCHA - Found by a friend in Oct. 2007. Same age as MK
★ MRS.PUMA - Found by a neighbor and moved in with us.
- Pet likes:
- ★ MK LIKES - lasers; mirrors that reflect sunlight; digging; chickens; playing ZOOM!; Mocha; chase-the-cat; eating anything, edible or not; walks; sneaking food off the counters; car rides and playing in the sprinkler.
★ MOCHA LIKES - digging; chickens; playing ZOOM!; MK; chase-the-cat; playing dead; walks; learning new things; soft balls that sQuEaK.
★ MRS.PUMA LIKES - tape; toilet paper rolls; catching blanket mice; playing FLASH! CAT at midnight (similar to ZOOM!); catnip; Pounce!; clean laundry in the basket; getting stuck behind drawers at 3:00am and howling 'till I get her out (she finds it hilarious.)
- Pet dislikes:
- ★ MK DISLIKES - The newspaper; the vet; getting scolded; getting a bath; getting caught.
★ MOCHA DISLIKES - The newspaper; the vet; car rides; getting blamed for MK's messes.
★ MRS.PUMA DISLIKES - Slipping into the full bathtub whilst supervising the premises; the vet; dogs chasing her; getting messed with; hairballs.
- Pet’s favorite spot:
- ★ MK'S FAV. SPOT - a hot spot in the sun and his comfy crate.
★ MOCHA'S FAV. SPOT - a nice cool hole she dug in the shade and her comfy crate.
★ MRS.PUMA'S FAV. SPOT - clean laundry, rocking chairs in dark corners; any fleece lined place.
- Pet’s sweetest moments:
- ★ MK - In the morning he will stretch before coming up to you and giving you the sweetest face a dog can have.
★ Mocha - Mocha's one of those dog's whose really always sweet :-)
★ Mrs.Puma - When Mrs.Puma is dead asleep she gets the cutest little smile you're ever going to see.

BSL - WHAT IS IT?
Breed-specific legislation (BSL) is designed to place restrictions on ownership of certain breeds of dogs. Typically, the restricted breeds include pit bull-type dogs (usually vaguely defined), followed by Rottweilers. Other breeds may include German Shepherds, Chow Chows, Presa Canarios, Dobermans, Cane Corsos, Huskies, Boxers, and mixes of these.
Breed-specific legislation creates a number of restrictions or regulations on any one breed. Owners of certain breeds of dogs may be required to:
-Keep the dog muzzled in public
-Purchase insurance for the dog
-Keep the dog on its owner's property at all times (no trips to the park, the store, etc.)
-Keep the dog in a specific enclosure at all times.
The most common kind of breed-specific legislation completely bans all dogs of a certain breed. This means that all dogs of the banned breed must be removed from the area or euthanized.
