- Never had birds, until my son was at day care....my friend had "rescued Sunny, but he would have nothing to do with anyone but my son!"He came home....youngest son wanted his own bird....Kiki was found at "Birds Unlimited", adopted Sean....I felt I also needed a bird...."Sophie adopted me!"
- Pet likes:
- All of us!Open cages, so they come to us when they want too!LOVE our dogs, since they were puppies when they came home!LOVE to shred and chew.Mostly just want to be part of the crowd!(love diet pepsi!)
- Pet dislikes:
- Kiki and Sunny LOVE to take a shower and get blowdryed!.Sophie would rather be somewhere else!
- Pet’s favorite spot:
- Mom"s shoulder
- Pet’s favorite toy:
- Mom!
- Pet’s silliest habit:
- Sophie, yelling at dogs to go outside!Imitating phone, exactly like us!
- Pet’s sweetest moments:
- All of them "purrrrr",when petted and wag their tails.When I nap with them on my shoulder, they nap too and are very quietWhen my dog jumps into my arms....Sophie bites his tail, pretends it "wasn"t her!"
- I crack up when my pet:
- Sophie yells for my 16 year old to get up, and go to school!
- My pet is unique because:
- Sophie, an African Grey, is suppose to be a "one person bird", but she gives everyone a "chance".She LOVES to go for a car ride!The faster, the better!

My sincerest apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I was just now browsing different groups and found a note I had posted on “Dogsville” back at the beginning of July looking for other members of Delta Society's Pet Partners program. I had posted on so many different group pages that I forgot this one and had not checked it regularly. I saw your post from July 5th and feel just awful that I haven't gotten back to you before now.
Since then I have started a discussion group for those interested in therapy programs called "Therapy Dogs". Please visit when you have time and join if you wish. There are many heartwarming videos there and links to many of the national organizations that offer animal assisted therapy programs. Delta Society, the one I belong to, is there as well.
I hope that my delay in responding to your post has in no way dampened your interest in therapy programs and if it has please accept my apology.
