I dreamed of you again the other night. How disconnected is the mind from the spirit? Where we think we're going and who we are and where we're really going and who we are are two distinctly different things. You took me to a Kabbalah open house one day back in New York. The rabbi mentioned the difference between what we fantasize about soul mates and what they really are. At this moment of my life and experience seem to believe that they have so little to do with romantic relationships and so much more to do with sudden changes in our well-being and spiritual structures. Beto says that we live 108 lives and that we may repeat certain aspects of those lives with the same people over that span. I don't know if the numbers are important so much as are the connections with the people when purefied to their essence aren't bodies at the least but certain aspects of organized energy. We fear death and the destruction of our physical body. We fear suffering, especially alone. Maybe we also prefer suffering alone, although we fear being alone. And so we seek love connections. But those usually are sought in sexual relations, which become confused with politics. And the love ceases being sensed. But then we dream about certain people and we dream about them again, although we haven't seen them for so long. And I think about my trip back from Fairfield to New York with my bike. And I remember you inviting me sleep over and we held hands one afternoon laying upon your roomate's bed. And why did we hug at the subway station after you left the "interview" at my apartment in Winsor Terrace? But Scott pursuaded me to choose him. And why did I do that? Or was is that you and I weren't meant to live together, but were meant to be connected. Beto says that our soul body flies when we sleep and it travels to other lives or other connections... And I believed that before he and I met. The day that I called your mother's house from Xalapa, Veracruz 3 years ago to leave my information for you on her answering machine, I dreamed with you. It was very lucid and it explained why we were not going to be in contact for a long time. I cherish the time we shared in Fairfield, although I was horribly distracted. I'm sorry that I had to be the way I was and that it ended as it ended. You were so generous inviting me to spend time in your personal space and I was much the fool. The trouble is that it's taken me much time to awaken to be aware of myself and certain of my actions. And you can't go around the world seeking forgiveness in your time because maybe you are ready to understand. And what is forgiveness afterall? I don't seek that. But I've always known that there was something important in our meeting way back when and whether we communicate in this dimension or one that we don't see yet, but in dreams it's all the same, much like prayer. You are an important aspect of God as am I and many other people we meet and have known. I don't pray for you, because that is something you do for yourself. But I pray to you, because that is the only true way of faith in spirit. It's much like saying "I love you" but without all the materialism. Maybe we knew each other in past lives, although I don't seek returns. But what it may mean is that we travel in complex circles; your appearance on the food co-op steps being just more than a coincidence and our time sitting on the floor of my apartment more than just an interview, but a re-connecting. We're do you think your brother is now? And who is he really? He's not suffering, nor is he angry. Maybe you shouldn't be so angry either. Jose sees ghosts or the deceased loved ones of friends and aquaintances of his... In his presence I was visited by two... I don't see ghosts and am far from being schizophrenic. I wanted to see the bald man with the broad back 2 months after Jose saw him appear at my side. The day after that wish, he appeared above the stove in the kitchen of my mother-in-law through the lense of my digital camera. There were other phantasms, but none so clear. If you visit my page on facebook, you can see the photo. I want to see the spirits that guide and protect me. But I don't see them with my waking eyes, only once or twice in the first 20 minutes of sleep when they appeared at the side of my bed. But I jolted awake and jumped to the side of Margarita. And she said, "you're not ready to see the spirits if you're scared of them." And that's a conflict that really sucks for me. I can see orbs and flashes of light with my eyes at all moments. But I can't see what Jose sees. Beto says that there are 7 bodies in your being, or 7 levels of existence. After my last surgery, I knew at least 4 or 5. He says that there are 11 dimensions and we only live in the 3rd. In the 4th, which is the dream state, the laws of gravity and other aspects of science don't exist and you can fly. I've flown before and have had lengthy discussions about what is the reality of flying; the propulsion comes from a force in the center of your forehead and has much to do with faith and confidence. I want to fly consciously. I want to see many things. We're coming towards the end of our existence in the 3rd dimension on Earth. But we'll continue. It's important to understand better our essenses and our connections to the important people we know and love. I pray and give homage to you and many others, although they may not understand in their conscious minds. We have much important things to do and much travelling ahead of us. Our connection gives us force. Our disconnection brings us towards the crises that enables us to value the connections. You don't lose. You won't lose. So don't worry. But try and be honest and open.

Hi Michele...

Do you think that it's possible that a soul that was in a human can reincarnate in that of a dog? I know this sounds absolutely ridiculous. But there are times when I look in the eyes of Bonito, I see someone more than a dog looking back at me, thoughtful... I've met many dogs and I've never seen this in any of them.

On another note, a year and a half ago, Bonito was attacked by a bigger dog and he hid and curled up under a parked car, probably in some form of shock, since he's never been one to shy away from a fight. A little while later, a man entered the car and turned on the motor. But because Bonito was so upset, he decided not to move. The car pulled out of the parking space and drove over his hip and head. Bonito yelped, and hobbled down to the lakes and disappeared for a few weeks. I was sure that we would find him dead under a bush in the park. When he reappeared, he couldn't move his right hind leg... However, after adopting him and then sending him out of the city to live with a friend of ours in cow and coffee country, he slowly regained use of that leg. However, when he is sad, like when we visit him and are about to leave, he starts limping again... It's absolutely heartbreaking.

The thing is that right after we adopted Bonito (removed him from the streets), we were given an opportunity to travel throughout the country selling coffee in giant fairs 85% of the year. So, we asked our friend Conchita if she could care for him. He's absolutely happy exploring the farmland, chasing burros and baby bulls and playing with other farm dogs and the farm children, barking at horses that pass by, etc... However, I am like a father to him and everytime I leave Conchita's house, I feel that I've deserted him again as is shown in his limp. Earlier on, when he saw us get into the truck to leave, he left conchita's house first and headed up the road in the direction we were going in. I would stop the truck and he would stop. But, upon getting out and walking in his direction, he would continue walking as if to say, I know what you're doing, I know where your going and you're not going to bring me back to Conchita's house. You best leave me be to walk infront of your truck the 20 miles until we reach home... Somehow we managed to grab him and put him in the truck. He was shivering from nerves and wimpering... But, we were about to leave for the other side of the country the following day. The least we could do was leave him with Conchita who also loves and cares for him.

We've adopted 2 dogs dumped in the street. Now both of them live outside of the city in homes with a lot of land, be it farmland or forrest. The second dog is Danza. She was no more than 4 months old when someone dumped her in the lakes on Children's Day, when many families were with their children in the parks... So, someone thought they would do her a favor by dumping her in the Lakes... No one saw her until we were packing up our cupcake stand to return home... Danza lives with my in-laws now in their coffee plantation with 2 male dogs, Jarochi (a German Shephard mix) and Scooby, a male German Shephard who hid for 10 days while she was in heat... What's up with that. Danza gave birth to six puppies when we were selling in Acapulco in December and those six puppies died when we were selling in Colima and Nayarit in February and March. I asked Margarita what happened and she said that Danza decided not to feed them. I believe that it was more than that...

Interesting how you interpreted "Pet likes" and "Pet dislikes" as what YOU like and dislike about said pet. Veeeeery interesting [strokes chin in deep thought].
