Proud pet parent of:
Sir Charles-CHAWHEE--- 10 year old Dachshund/mix
Queen Abby IX---Abbers-Chicka- is an 20 month old English Mastiff
Princess Samantha -Sammi 1 yr old English Mastiff
75 Gal Cichlid Aquarium--24 fishies

How we met:
Sir Charles was picked out of a storm drain when he was appox 6 weeks old . All 5 pups found homes that day.

Queen Abby was rescued from breeder who could no longer care for their animals in Oklahoma. She was the runt and the only female being bullied by the males. She needed rescuing.

Princess Samantha's brothers & sisters 6 in all and Mom & Dad were also rescued after being confiscated from a property in Texas. Sammi followed Abby around for over an hour and would not leave her side. Abby didn't seem to mind so needless to say Sammi became part of our pack.
Pet likes:
SNACKS - WALKS - GOIN TO NANA'S HOUSE - RIDES IN THE CAR - DOG PARK - PETSMART - COMFY COUCH
Pet dislikes:
being scolded - rainy days
Pet’s favorite spot:

Dirty Socks....yes they all like our dirty socks.....
They would like yours too!
Pet’s silliest habit:
When they get the ZOOMS in the house.
After they eat they all rub their faces on the
carpet the side of the couch the rug, your leg.
Sammi is a crotch dwelling butt sniffer.....
She gets ya coming & going...LOL
Abby counter surfs---& smiles big smiles!
Charlie growls and snarles at them both-lil bugger
Pet’s sweetest moments:
All their Moments Are Precious & Sweet
I crack up when my pet:
Sammi cracks me up when she sees anyone and sniffs their crotch and it makes them feel really uncomfortable and embarrased.....GET OVER YOURSELF----SHE IS A DOG!
Sammi is very vocal and tells great stories. She is a sweet sweet dog.
She loves to get dried off after hard play in the hose.
I smile big when Abby gets comfortable in her own skin.....those of you who know Abby's story understand this statement.
When chawhee plays with his Monkey! LOL I know what your thinking but it is a stuffed monkey! LOL
My pet is unique because:

MASTIFF RESCUE**HELP FOR MABEL**

Mabel was rescued from a local kill shelter in Texas. She was very emaciated and was pulled the day she was supposed to be euthanized. I have a great love for the Mastiff breed and couldn't bear the thought of not giving this old gal a chance. So...when she was pulled from the shelter she came to my house. I was given some background on her. Apparently she was a breeder and wasn't producing for them anymore so they had no use for her. Imagine, living in a cage your whole life doing nothing but p… Continue

Orangutans

What’s so special about an orangutan?
Their eyes hold a story that is indecipherable and yet intuitively we relate to them. Just one look into those eyes and you are hooked.Orangutans are highly intelligent with an ability to reason and think. This large, gentle red ape is one of our closest relatives, sharing 97% of the same DNA as humans. Indigenous peoples of Indonesia and Malaysia call this ape "Orang Hutan" literally translating into English as "People of the Forest". In tim

Here In This House

Here in this house... I will never know the loneliness I hear in the barks of the other dogs 'out there'. I can sleep soundly, assured that when I wake my world will not have changed. I will never know hunger, or the fear of not knowing if I'll eat. I will not shiver in the cold, or grow weary from the heat. I will feel the sun's heat, and the rain's coolness, and be allowed to smell all that can reach my nose. My fur will shine

RX For Animals

How to give a cat a pill: 1. Pick up the cat and cradle it gently in your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of the cat's mouth, and gently apply pressure to the cheeks, while holding the pill in your right hand (this is how MY vet told me to pill my cats. Ha.) As the cat opens its mouth, pop the pill into the mouth, then allow it to close its mouth and swallow. 2. Retrieve the pill from the floor and the cat from behind the sofa. Repeat proces… Continue

Stem Cell Regeneration

Hi, I just want to pass some information along. My GF has 2 German Shepard's 1 is 12 the other is 9. The 12 year old needed both hips replaced at $5,000.00 a hip and no guarantees. Might take her a year w/ therapy to heal and still no guarantees! I read and also watched a video on what they are doing for animals with their own stem cells. It is amazing. I told my gf to try and find a vet in the area who might help her. All the information I have on this procedure is out of California. She found… Continue

I'm looking for recipes for homemade Dog and Cat Treats. If you have any that you would like to share, would you mind emailing me at ntrompler@yahoo.com with the recipe? I'm sure as most of y'all are, besides belonging to several online communities, I'm also active at a local level humane society. I am wanting to put together some recipes for the members, just as a thank you gift. If you include your name and organization with your recipe, I will make sure you get full credit!! :-) Thanks in advance! --Tash
