How we met:
We adopted Smoke by accident, we saw him and knew he would be perfect for our family. And of course he is. He is so good with the kids and loves people. Fuzzy was a stray that was found on the side of the road in Virginia, a friend brought him to us. He was skin and bone and now, he is this huge gray and white pumpkin! Flower, was for one of our daughters. Our daughter went to pick her out and of all the kitties that we showed her she said no, and pointed directly to Flower. Tico, was my baby. He was the most loving cat that I have ever had. When I was pregnant with my second daughter he was with me all the time. He even slept in the baby's crib. So we had make him his own "crib". We had adopted him from Feline's Inc- a no kill shelter. Then On Nov. 14, I found him at 4:30 AM. I cried so hard-still do. Blue and IcePick-sisters. They are Burmeses and we had to put Blue down last year. She was really sick and there was nothing we could do. Her sister is still with us and she is 18 years old-yes, an old lady. And she is so full of love. We got IcePick and Blue, because a friend of my husband was moving and the move was too much for them. And he was told that if he took them to a shelter they would just put them down, and we couldn't let that happen. So we took them. And that was two and half years ago. And now for Petunia the Pig, she is our newest member of our family. She is a 7 week old Jack Russell Terrier. And cute as can be.
Pet likes:
Everything
Pet dislikes:
None
Pet’s favorite spot:
My bed
Pet’s favorite toy:
Smoke loves things that make noise. And the kitties love everything they can hunt! Except IcePick, she just sleeps-but she loves to cuddle and sit on your shoulder. Petunia love to wake up the household at 3am.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Smoke, sleeps with the cats.
Fuzzy and Flower, since the are only a few weeks apart they love to wrestle-under the bed.
IcePick, growls and the other cats and dog.
Petunia,Growls /barks at everything and climbs everything.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
When they ALL cuddle together
I crack up when my pet:
Runs, stops and stares
My pet is unique because:
They all mean so much to me. And they all represent themsleves in such different ways. They are unique, becuase they are apart of our family and they are loved more than anything in this world.
I NEED another tatoo!! How cool for you!! And you have a birthday tomorrow? Nikki has one today. she's 22. Wish I could go back. hahaha...we have 2 vehicles, Jeff gets to drive the newest one. 06 Nissan altima. I get stuck with the crappy chevy s-10 pick up. I used to just LOVE driving it. what was I thinking? I want an H-3 Hummer. And Jeff can keep his big viking butt out of it!! LOL!!!
James is ok. Maybe he is just taking a little well deserved time off. I know he was on earlier today as he left a comment on my page about the ostrich!! LOL. I guess we all have our moments where we just want to, or NEED to leave this alone for a bit. It is a very emotional drain for me hearing and seeing all of the sadness inflicted on animals. I really have awfully bad dreams about animals after being here. It takes it's toll but it is so worth any discomfort I go through to try and stop cruelty. James is very tenderhearted. Maybe he has to step back for a minute. I really love that guy and his positive attitude. He's a sweetheart.
What I need is lessons in time management. You must be an expert in that field juggling everything you do!! You're just amazing. I get home on the weekend and I somehow manage to do laundry, play with the dogs and drink some wine!! LOL!!
oh yeah, and eat well. My sweet husband always has something delightful for dinner the day I come home. Other than that I do nothing except plink on the computer, write letters to whoever has incurred my wrath, sign petitions and SLEEP!!! (one of my favorite hobbies!!) LOL
LOL!!! I put the ostrich on James' page, too and I guess it startled him!! hahahaha...Said he hadn't had his coffee yet.
I'm doing ok, working all week, relaxing on the weekends. Wish I could find a job so I could stay at home, though. How's everything in your neck of the woods?
