Proud pet parent of:
Sasha, Sydney and Mao Mao a.k.a Fearless.

I have to tell everyone that I lost Sydney on Jan. 1, 2008 due to complications of leukemia. It was a painful decision that I had to make to end her life but then I didn't want her to suffer and the vet informed that is the decision that he would have made so that put me somewhat at ease. I will miss Sydney terribly and she will always live on in my heart. I love you Sydney. Rest in peace.
How we met:
Sasha and Mao Mao were rescues and Sydney has been with me since she was2 months old
Pet’s favorite spot:
Sasha's fave spot is on top of her "condo" in front of the sliding glass doors where she can be lazy and watch the birds. Sydney's is anywhere she can take a good nap and be left alone. Mao Mao's is also in front of the sliding glass doors so he can bird watch.
Pet’s favorite toy:
Sydney doesn't really play with the toys. Sasha's is her weiner dog catnip toy and Mao Mao loves the feather toy and also the colorful tennis balls (cat-sized) that I got him.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Mao Mao's is playing with my feet but the girls really don't have silly moments. Too refined.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
When they come up and give me sugar hugs. That's a rub on the nose.
I crack up when my pet:
When Sydney does her matrix leap through the air. All four feet are out in front of her and her tail is pointing towards the ground. You have to see it to believe it.
My pet is unique because:
They are my babies.

This is my other charity work. If it doesn't involve animals it will involve children. These are two groups that need very strong and loud voices.

A tragedy at the Derby and the aftermath!!!

This past Saturday history was made in the Kentucky Derby. Unfortunately some of it was tragic. The beautiful filly Eight Belles who came in a very game second broke down at the top of the turn into the backstretch. No one in the grandstand knew what had happened at first but then they saw the horse ambulance go by. Then word started spreading and the jubilant celebration of Big Brown's win suddenly became somber. Eight Belles had broken both front ankles in a bizarre accident. Dr. Larry Bramlag… Continue

Thanks so much. Your baby looks like my sister's cat Dot Dot. She was the runt of the litter but now to look at the goddess you woudn't know it. Yes, I still do miss Sydney very much. She will be gone for three months on 4/1. I had a calendar of my cats made in February and I had several pictures of Sydney put on there. She will always be in my heart and I know that she is better where she is now and that she is also with her daddy, mommy and grandma (whom she was the spitting image of).

Nicci,
Very happy to hear Mao Mao is better!!! I know those scares all to well!! Please keep me posted. Nicci, yes that os very common for what you are thinking/feeling over Sydney! When my Rylan passed away about 6 years ago it took me weeks to even stop crying. I thought i'd never get another dog ever but ya know what i eventually did and she doesn't replace him but she helped me with my grief. To this day a day never goes by that I don't think of Rylan but it does get better. It just takes time! I'm here ya know if you need to talk. Robin :-)
