The National Canine Weight Check

Profile Information

We’re launching the National Canine Weight Check this February to help owners find out if their dogs are at risk for serious health complications that can be a result of too much weight. It gives dog owners the opportunity to bring their pets into a participating veterinary practice to receive a free weight assessment during the month of February.

If you want more information about the National Canine Weight Check, including a list of participating vets, click the button below:

We would really love your support in promoting this very important cause, and we hope that you can pass this information along to your friends and families.

And please add us as your “friend” to show your support and connect with other dog lovers!

Grab your own "Support" or "I got weighed!" button for your ASPCA profile here:

I got my pups weighed! My Saint Bernard at four months was 65 pounds and my Irish Wolfhound Mastiff mix was 55 pounds at 3 1/2 months- the vet said their weight is perfect and they are health dogs :) Thanks!

this is a great idea. i work at a vet clinic and alot of people bring in pets the are way over weight. the owners say the love there pets and thats way they give the popeyes chicken and sausage gumbo, cause there are part of the family. i love my pets too, but i don't feed them that stuff no matter how much they beg.
