Proud pet parent of:
I have 6 of my own birds: a blue and gold macaw named Beaker, a Moluccan cocaktoo named Coral, a green wing macaw named Leia, a female eclectus named Cherry, a blue front amazon named Kelly and an African grey named Schweitzer.
How we met:
I founded and run a avian rescue for companion birds ( A Place to Call Home). All of my feathered friends are rescues.
Pet likes:
My flock loves to be out of the cage and show off
Pet dislikes:
They dislike being left out
Pet’s favorite spot:
The bird room or on my shoulder :)
Pet’s favorite toy:
Beaker loves his Sesame Street pop-up toy
Pet’s silliest habit:
Leia likes to clench her claw into a fist and "wave"
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Coral loves to cuddle
I crack up when my pet:
Beaker tells the dogs "out!" when they come in the bird room
My pet is unique because:
Each has their special qualities that endear them to us

Welcome to the community! I used to breed cockatiels 27 years ago and hand fed them, i love the birds so funny , brother asked me to take his salmon crested, larger bird, but i would love it, but my lungs are too bad..u go you feather babies mom!! god bless ya wanda p

Anyone in the western suburbs of Chicago is invited to volunteer at our avian rescue! We are located in Creston, Illinois and house about 50 birds who are looking for homes. We currently have 10 volunteers and can always use more. Besides helping with the feeding and cleaning, volunteer opportunities like managing our website, helping with outreach programs, working on fundraisers and donations, volunteer coordinator and helping to coordinate special events are also available! what a beautiful 'Too! I have an Umbrella and she is just a sweetheart named Jazmin. I also have a Green-wing named Dryfus and a Sun Conure named Nike. I have a bird sitting business with my husband and it also throws us into some rescue. What you are doing is so wonderful to help these beautiful creatures.

Coral is a sweetie, a real cuddler. My "character is Beaker, the blue and gold macaw. He is a real "hambone" and loves to talk and show off.
