Four dogs of the Australian breed 'Tenterfield Terrier'.
Traff
Chelz
Stamp
Ajax
How we met:
WeI wanted to share our lives with this beautiful breed (Tenterfield Terriers). Chelz came as a puppy, then when she was 1 year old we adopted Traff from a registered breeder and brought into our home, too. We also joined the Tenterfield Club. Ajax and Stamp are brothers, of Traff and Chelz's only litter. These four = are now our little family.
Pet likes:
Food. Food Food.
Toys Toys Toys.
Belly rubs, belly rubs, belly rubs.
Walks, walks, walks.
Car rides. car rides, car rides.
Pet dislikes:
Bath-time, nail clipping, worm tablets, the Vet.
Pet’s favorite spot:
Our bed. The car. Near me.
Pet’s favorite toy:
Ball, Squeaky Toys.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Nothing is silly. They are smart. Everything is for a reason!
Pet’s sweetest moments:
All of them curled up next to me on sofa.
I crack up when my pet:
When they play Tag Chase around the yard.
My pet is unique because:
They are the ones I love. I am they one they love.
Please note that some of these dogs have naturally short (bob) tails, as some Tenterfields are born this way. All mine have long tails. I campaigned for the banning of tail-docking.
Tail-docking was finally outlawed here a couple of years ago.
There would still be many adult dogs with docked tails around. To prove pups have not been tail-docked the breeders now supply DNA certificates to show the pup has the short-tail gene.
All my dogs have natural long tails. When I picked out my pedigree Tenterfield dog (now 7 years old) at one day old, I refused to let the breeder dock his tail! The breeder was so shocked. "The judges won't like him, he won't win anything."
I didn't care. No one was docking my pup's tail. He happily wags his long tail at me most of the day, every day. :)

This is a link to a news story. In the capitol city of Bisbane in state of Queensland, Australia, a man stole a child's pet goat, and beheaded it then took it to a church and photographed it. He was given a one year sentence in court for animal cruelty. On appeal to the Supreme Court, the sentence was reduced to six months. The judge considered the one year term "manifestly excessive"

"RSPCA stunned by reduced sentence for goat beheading

The RSPCA says it is stunned the Supreme Court in Brisbane upheld the appeal of a man who was sentenced to 12 months in prison for beheading a pet goat.
The Supreme Court Judge Margaret White...said the original sentence was "manifestly excessive".
But the RSPCA...says the judge is wrong. "There's a group of people, they were drinking heavily, they went and got a little girl's pet goat, decapitated it, then took it to a church then took it to a local store and took photos of it...It wasn't a random act so it was certainly well thought out what they did. The original sentence was very fair, it was a tough sentence for a very cruel act."
“
Manifestly excessive? What about the pain and terror of the animal who was beheaded by drunks? What about the distress and trauma to the little girl who lost her friend in such a cruel way? Was not their apin “manifestly excessive/
I am outraged that a convicted animal torturer is allowed a reduction in his prison sentence.
I will be sending an email to lodge my protest over the court's action.
I think it is important that the authorities know that people from all over the world, not just my country Australia, care that courts everywhere treat animal cruelty as a serious crime.
I ask everyone who agrees with me to please email their protest to this email address for the Attorny General of Queensland.
Also, Queensland relies heavily on overseas tourism and overseas visitors do spend a lot of money while holidaying there, Its international reputation is very important to that state. A great deal of money is spent advertising the beautiful beaches, tropical islands and holiday resorts. (I should know, I was born there!) Please let Queenslanders know how you feel about the upholding of animal welfare laws.

This totalitarian regime needs to wake up to the fact that if it wants to join the family of First World nations it will have to recognize First World rights for animals. I do not believe it is a coincidence that nations which support animal welfare are the leaders on this planet.
hi,thanks for your help, did you know that China is killing all dogs and cats in there country even the ones that there people owned as pets are being taken away and killed in front of there owners. This is outragous.
Hi Sandra you could also use this link- this is a petition against the legalization of dog meat trade in Korea. Please visit our group I have posted some articles in this regard. Many Thanks!!!
I took my dogs for a walk to a children's playground (no kids were there so we had it all to ourselves) and they each slid down the toddler slide. That was so cute. They are very agile and i try to make walks interesting by finding things for them to do, like walkinging along a low stone wall or jump over logs.
It was good exercise for me too.

I am appalled that you had reduced a sentence on a cruel act of a childs goat!
Maybe you should have someone give you better visuals and the trauma of a child for you to see your judgement was not a good one!
