Smoochy and my recently departed Hershey 1996-2008
How we met:
I was looking for a "seeing eye dog" for my 10 year old Hershey, who was going blind. I decided to find him a black lab puppy and I looked far and wide until I found Mr. Smooch. His "puffed up peacock" registered name is Baiser de la Montagne. Kiss of the Mountain. But he is Smoochy, always has been, always will be.
Pet likes:
Being close to me, bones, treats, kisses, running like a banshee, me coming home from work.
Pet dislikes:
Not much that I can tell, except taking walks on a leash and being alone.
Pet’s favorite spot:
beside of me wherever that may be
Pet’s favorite toy:
a squeaky hedgehog
Pet’s silliest habit:
laying his head flat on the floor and watching my every move, nothing moving but his eyes
Pet’s sweetest moments:
when Im crying or sad, he comes and lays his head in my lap
I crack up when my pet:
chases his racoon in the house - he picks it up and kind of throws it then chases it down . . . he could do this for hours
My pet is unique because:
I have him for a petson and he loves ME unconditionally
Hi Kay, so nice to hear from you. I will be sure to check out that web-site. This week was really bad. My son started back to school and I was used to having Scarlett go with us in the morning and if it were cold out, we'd run back inside after dropping him off and warm each other up under the covers. I know that we both are aching, but I find myself even though I still cry and my heart hurts so bad, that I am returning to work and everyday things that I did before. I carry her with me in my heart. My son was so pitiful the first day of school, he said its just not the same without Scarlett. I held back the tears to keep from upsetting him, and told him the same, carry her in your heart and she'll be there forever. I have your regular e-mail address. I'll get ya there....XOXOXO Tina

Hi Kay, how have you been? I haven't forgotten you. I would like to respond to others new here, but its so hard to come here sometimes. This has all pretty much sunk in, so I'm coping more and more each day. How about you?? How is Smoochy doing? School is ready to begin for my son, so I have to adjust to Scarlett not being here to go with us in the morning, and that to will work out. I'm just really trying to keep myself together. The funny thing is from the rainbow bridge, where is says Scarlett spots me and she comes running, like I'm all excited thinking wow, were going to see each other, than I said hey, that means I'd have to die now, so Scarlett will have to wait awhile, whereever I go, I'll always carry her in my heart. Miss ya lots...Tina
Your lab (assuming your lab) looks just like my Bandit, because of my personal situation and he was diagnosed with the degenerative nerve disease, I just had to put him down last year, after 15 years! I held on to him as long as I could regardless of my financial because it is the right thing to do and I loved him so very much! I knew when it was time and I then adopted another shortly after that and had to give him(a pup) to a new home because again, my personal situation started to get bad at that time. I love labs too and would do it again!

hi kay; bad news Murphy is already adopted' the one i thought u might like is Haley; she's the one that her stupid owners didn't want anymore after the divorce. she is really having a hard time adjusting to the kennel; we put her in with 2 other older dogs to gie her company; but so far she is still miserable. check her out and anyone else; fill out application because that's how they work; then the lady in charge will get back to u. hope u find what u need and want; hugs and paws terri
