I don't know how I will handle this decision if ever I am given that choice. I'll know when I look in Woody's eyes, he's very expressive. As you know from my page, he was on death row at the pound when he adopted me. These little guys know when they've been rescued and from the fate if they were not. He's thanking you in heaven right now for making his life here so good and as Jesus says "Whatever you do to the least of my creatures, you do to me also." He didn't mean just humans, but all creatures. I don't know how spiritual you are, but it's a comfort to me.

I know, and this is just for me, I will do exactly what Woody would want me to do - when I'm ready, rescue another one of his death row inmates. The bond they create with thei forever family is so close and you made him so happy.

God comfort you in this very sad and trying time, but Rusty's smilin' now and now longer suffering.
