Cole, Bo, Daisy May, and Mater were all rescued from humane societies in Crawford, Allen, and Auglaize counties. They make the most wonderful pets. I don't know what I would do without them in my life :)
Pet likes:
Mater is a cat...buff domestic short hair. He LOVES warm summer breezes, laying in his cat bed by the open window and chasing feather sticks. He is laid back and incredibly loveable. Daisy May is a little over a year old and she is a social butterfly! She loves to play with other dogs and often trades toys with the neigbors dogs. The neigbors love her and she comes home with a treat from them every morning! Cole and Bo are brothers and they love to play tug of war! Murray lives at the farm and he loves to chase wild animals and BARK! He is a loveable beast who loves his belly rubbed. He and Daisy May are best friends!
Pet dislikes:
Daisy May hates gutter drains. She runs from them! The others are pretty laid back you can tug on their ears, rough house with them or use them as a foot rest and they are just happy that they are getting your attention!
Pet’s favorite spot:
Mater...windows! Daisy May...anywhere that you are, she likes to lay behind you and try to trip you! Murray loves the rug by the french doors, Cole has his own twin bed that he loves, and Bo doesn't lay down long enough to know!
Pet’s favorite toy:
Bo and Cole love the rope I got them to play tug of war! They have so much fun! Daisy loves balls...mostly tennis balls and she really likes it when you bounce them and she can jump to catch them in her mouth! Murray likes dead animals...yeah gross but he's a beast! A hunting machine!
Pet’s silliest habit:
Mater talks A LOT in the mornings and he doesn't stop until you pick him up and rub his head. Daisy May also talks...especially when she hears the words "Go" "Walk" or "Murray" Murray wants out every night so he can BARK he will bark sometimes until the wee hours of the morning.....at absolutely nothing. When Bo gets in trouble he jumps in the bath tub!!!! Crazy dog! Cole likes to grab your wrists in his mouth and lead you to either dog treats or his toys!
Pet’s sweetest moments:
There are 2 that stand out so I will share these. When my mom had hip surgery in the dead of winter she couldn't go out to get the mail, so she would send Cole to get it instead. At first the mail folks were scared of this 100 pound Newfoundland but soon they were bringing him treats and talking about him all over town. He would also fetch the dirty clothes she dropped and couldn't bend over to get and bring them to the laundry room...of course he wouldn't drop them until he got a treat!
Murray's dad was in horrible car accident last summer and was in the hospital for over 6 months. It was my turn to stop by the farm to play with him and feed him and he would not stop trying to make me hug him. He rubbed his head on me and had this sad sad look in his eyes. He wanted to know what happened to his dad and why he never came home from work that hot june day. I put him in the car and took him to my house where he stayed for a week playing with Daisy May. Mater even gave him special attention. Animals are smarter than some might think....we should give them more credit!
I crack up when my pet:
When Daisy and Mater chase the red dot! Oh you should it it's fantastic!
My pet is unique because:
They all have their own personalities and characteristics. They have their own likes and dislikes and sense of humor. They are loyal and all they ask is that you love them and treat them with respect. If you do they will love you back twice as hard. Like right now Daisy May is at my feet waiting "patiently"....for her walk!
