My husband got Renigade while working in an animal hospital. Renigade was a baby and he had crawled up into a car engine to keep warm. Well, the unknowing owners of the car started it, and the poor cat's leg was caught in the fan belt. Ron happened to be on duty that night (luckily) and after Ren's leg was amputated, he brought him home. Rascal found his way to us when his previous owners abandonded him during the imfamous 4 Hurricanes to blow through here in '04 (Charlie, Frances, IVan, & Jeanne). He's a Shih Tzu/Dacshund mix (ugly little cutie pie!!). We love them!!
Pet likes:
Renigade likes our big recliner and sleeping (horizontally, of course) in our bed with us. Rascal likes his rope chew toy and sharing the chair with the cat (tho the cat's not crazy about that).
Pet dislikes:
Rascal doesn't like when you leave in the morning (I can hear him wimper at the door), but he loves when you come home - so excited. Renigade doesn't like being picked up, but he loves to cuddle on his own.
Pet’s favorite spot:
Renigade: laying on top of ANY clothes that smell like us.
Rascal: his big, comfy doggy bed.
Pet’s favorite toy:
Renigade likes his feathered mouse.
Rascal like his rope chew toy.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Renigade will sleep right next to you, he HAS to be touching.
Rascal will sit under the bed with just his nose sticking out until you walk by and then he'll jet out to greet you.
I crack up when my pet:
When they play together. They love to chase each other down the hallway and then the cat will jump up onto the bed. But, the dog's too small to jump on the bed, so the cat will lean down as if to say "na na na na boo boo" and then, he'll jump down and chase the dog back up the hallway.
My pet is unique because:
Renigade only has one leg, but he can outrun the dog. Rascal is very unique-looking.
